Overview:
The Claims Coordinator is responsible for managing deduction and invoice claims within SAP TPM, supporting promotional claim approvals, and ensuring strong financial controls across trade promotions. This role partners closely with Sales, Sales Finance, Trade Promotion Analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate claim processing, compliance with trade agreements, and timely resolution of exceptions. The position also plays a key role in improving efficiency through reporting automation and advanced analytics.
Responsibilities:
Claims Processing & Trade SupportManage deduction and invoice claim processing end-to-end within SAP TPMAssist with promotional event enrollments and claim approvalsValidate claims against approved trade agreements, promotional events, and pricing termsEnsure customer contract legends are current and accurate to support Trade Promotion AnalystsControls, Compliance & Exception ManagementMaintain a strong control environment with accurate trade accruals, contract approvals, and verification processesManage claim exceptions through effective verbal and written communication with Sales and Sales Finance teamsInvestigate claim discrepancies, identify root causes, and support timely resolutionEnsure compliance with internal controls, trade policies, and audit requirementsSystems, Reporting & AutomationMaintain audit-ready claim documentation, trackers, and system recordsPrepare claims analysis, aging reports, and exception dashboardsDrive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of claims and trade analytics through automation solutions
Cross-Functional CollaborationAct as a liaison between Trade Promotion Analysts, Sales, Finance, and Customer TeamsSupport continuous alignment between promotional execution, pricing, and claims processingRespond effectively to information requests and support business decision-making
Qualifications:
EducationBachelor’s degree in Commerce, M.Com, BBA, Master Business Administration, Finance, or a related fieldAdditional certifications (Tally, CA-Inter, CFA Level 1, Excel certification)Experience1–4 years of financial operations, claims, trade promotions, or accounting-related experiencePrior FMCG industry experience preferredTechnical & Analytical SkillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions and improved processesProficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced data handling capabilitiesAbility to quickly learn SAP CRM/BW and TPM software applicationsGood to Have technical proficiency in Python, Power BI, and UiPath, with hands-on experience in: Automation and process optimizationData analysis and dashboard developmentScripting and workflow designBehavioral & Professional CompetenciesStrong communication skills to manage information gathering and exception resolutionResults-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and manage prioritiesHigh attention to detail with a strong quality and control focusProactive, self-driven, and continuous improvement–orientedAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
