The team
.Our Strategy practice brings together business strategists, AI specialists, data scientists, engineers, and transformation advisors to help clients move from AI ambition to measurable enterprise value. We work with clients to identify where AI can create advantage, shape AI and data strategy, design scalable operating models, and partner with technical teams to bring priority AI and data science initiatives to life.
Strategy professionals serve as trusted advisors to our clients, helping them make clear, data-driven choices about where to play, how to win, and how to scale AI responsibly across the enterprise.
Work you will do:
Deloitte’s ‘Strategy’ offering helps companies address the entire range of top management challenges including pursuing new growth opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies, and driving enterprise transformation. As an AI Strategy Consultant, you will:

Provide strategic directions to clients on how to leverage Artificial Intelligence (including Generative AI) to drive innovation, competitive advantage, and enterprise value.

Work with C-suite stakeholders to define AI strategy, vision, and transformation roadmaps, aligned to business priorities and market context.

Identify and prioritize high-impact AI and GenAI use cases, develop business cases, and define value realization pathways.

Bring a strong understanding of how AI solutions are developed and deployed in enterprise environments to ground strategic recommendations in practical feasibility.

Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI features from problem framing and requirements definition through sprint delivery, UAT, launch, and post-launch iteration.

Define detailed product requirements for AI/ML features specifying model inputs/outputs, confidence thresholds, fallback behaviors, latency requirements, and human-in-the-loop escalation paths.

Understand, decide and communicate business and technical decisions and trade-offs and decisions to client stakeholders.

Support clients in shaping AI-enabled products, services, and business models, including commercialization and go-to-market considerations.

Redesign customer and operational workflows by embedding AI into business processes and decision-making.

Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to define data schemas, feature requirements, and evaluation frameworks; contribute to decisions on model selection, fine-tuning vs. prompting, and deployment approach.

Support the planning and execution of AI transformation initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder alignment, tracking key milestones, and helping drive delivery of business outcomes.
Required Experience and Skills
Enterprise Technology and Transformation Strategy (AI Strategy)

– Experience in defining AI strategies, identifying high-value use cases, and building value creation roadmaps aligned to business priorities.
- – Ability to translate business problems into AI/GenAI opportunities, including use case identification, feasibility assessment, and ROI estimation.
- – Exposure to GenAI concepts (e.g., LLMs, copilots, intelligent automation) and their application across business functions.
- Understanding data foundations required for scalable AI adoption, AI/ML algorithm development workflow and data analysis, time-series analysis, computer vision with an emphasis on generative AI and Large Language Models

– Experience owning AI-powered features end-to-end, including writing PRDs for ML systems, managing AI product backlogs, and coordinating delivery across product, engineering, and data science.

– Experience supporting technology, data, analytics, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives in a professional setting, with the ability to apply this understanding to real-world enterprise constraints, delivery considerations, and change adoption.
Core Consulting
- Clear and concise communication - conduct client interviews, participate in workshops/trainings and present recommendations.
- Lead product discovery sessions, write and refine requirements with engineering, run sprint reviews, and communicate AI system behavior and limitations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Good client presence – interact and build relationships with clients and other team members.
- Analytical thinking - ability to perform detailed, quantitative analysis and research (primary and secondary). Synthesize and present insights and recommendations from data.
- Logical structuring - structured approach to problem solving and ability to perform root cause analysis of client problems.
- Deadline-oriented and quality focused - develop and own development of deliverables. own and manage specific work-thread, develop plans for components of engagement, manage and mentor junior resources.
- Collaboration - Be able to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels. Be able to prioritize tasks, manage change in scope, work on multiple assignments, and raise concerns/questions where appropriate.
- Networking - Ability to chart one’s own career and build networks within the organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- MBA from a premier institution in India or abroad
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech), preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines
- 4+ years (for Senior Consultants) of relevant experience in roles involving AI strategy, AI product management, AI-enabled digital transformation, data & AI initiatives, or enterprise programs focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (including Generative AI) to drive business value
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, data scientists, AI engineers, and product teams.
Preferred:
- Prior consulting, strategy, transformation, product management, or technology advisory experience
- Exposure to AI strategy, Generative AI, AI operating models, AI governance, AI product development, or AI transformation programs
- Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with cloud, data, analytics, and AI ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Relevant certifications in AI, Data, Cloud, or Analytics (e.g., Azure AI Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, AWS AI/ML certifications, Google Cloud AI certifications, Power BI, Tableau, TOGAF, or equivalent)
