Next Gear India Private Limited plays a vital role in Cotality's Product Development capabilities, focusing on creating and delivering innovative solutions for the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and Property Restoration industries.

At Cotality, our Consultants are the high-level technical architects of our platform logic. As a Configuration Consultant , you are the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) for our Kolkata implementation hub. You won’t just be following instructions; you will be the expert who understands the "why" behind the logic. This role is for a seasoned professional who can navigate the complexities of our internal systems to deliver high-impact property intelligence solutions for our Validate and Scope platforms.
Technical Subject Matter Expert: Act as the internal escalation point for complex technical logic and configuration issues. You are the "Power User" the team turns to for difficult system behavior questions.
Advanced Logic & Flow Architecture: Translate high-level business requirements into functional system logic, designing intricate automation flows and "Vision-to-Logic" transformations.
Platform Advancement: Utilize expert-level SQL, C#, and Python to build automated system rules that allow for steadily advancing platform capabilities.
Technical Mentorship: Provide peer-to-peer technical guidance and logic reviews for the Configuration Analysts. You are responsible for ensuring the hub’s technical output meets our rigorous standards.
User & System Administration: Take ownership of high-level user administration tasks across multiple internal systems, ensuring appropriate access controls and security standards are maintained.
Strategic Troubleshooting: Diagnosing "why" a complex flow is breaking across multiple internal systems and implementing permanent logic fixes to improve system reliability.
Working Hours: Regular shift is 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST .
Hybrid Model: Team members are in the office for the first half of the day, 3 days a week. You may leave the office around 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM IST and finish your shift from home.
Training: Comprehensive product and system training is provided.
Job Qualifications:
Experience: 5–8 years of experience in technical configuration, software implementation, or systems analysis.
Core Technical Stack: Well-versed in SQL, C#, and Python. You must have a strong programming background to troubleshoot system behavior, understand data relationships, and automate internal tasks.
Markup Expertise: Expert-level ability to read, audit, and edit XML and JSON to validate system functionality and test complex logic.
Automation Mastery: Advanced experience building conditional logic and workflow "flows" within software platforms.
Administrative Acumen: Experience managing user accounts and permissions across multiple enterprise or proprietary software environments.
System Fluency: A proven ability to quickly learn and master proprietary, closed-source software tools (specifically for Validate and Scope ).
