Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to own core modules of the 2Bigha.ai platform across backend, frontend, and basic DevOps/cloud. You will primarily work with the PERN Stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) to build scalable property listing flows, GIS-based land visualizations, digitization workflows, and internal tools for our Sales and Operations teams, while mentoring other engineers and driving best practices in code quality, security, and deployment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Feature Delivery
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features using React.js for the frontend and Node.js/Express.js for backend services.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases to support scalable and high-performance applications.
- Implement and improve flows for property listings, land search, lead capture, and internal dashboards (SEO, Operations, Calling Team).
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, communication APIs, GIS platforms, and CRMs.
- Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable components across the application.
Architecture, Security & Quality
- Contribute to system architecture and database design for scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
- Ensure application and data security through input validation, secure authentication and authorization, session management, encryption where required, and least-privilege access.
- Collaborate with leadership to align with security and compliance best practices, including data protection, logging, audit trails, backup, and retention policies.
- Write clean, testable, well-documented code and drive code reviews, refactoring, performance optimization, and best engineering practices.
Cloud, DevOps & Reliability
- Work with DevOps to design and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure for web applications, APIs, and background jobs.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, environment setup (Development, Staging, Production), and automated deployments using Docker and cloud-native services.
- Help configure monitoring, logging, and alerting for critical services.
- Troubleshoot production issues while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Product, Design, SEO, GIS, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior developers, provide structured feedback, and improve engineering practices.
- Break down product requirements into technical tasks and estimates.
- Proactively identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical
- 5+ years of experience building scalable web applications as a Full Stack Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with the PERN Stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
- Strong backend development experience using Node.js and Express.js, with expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Solid frontend development skills using React.js, including component-based architecture, Hooks, and state management (Redux/Context API or similar).
- Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), including managed databases, storage, IAM, networking, and deployment.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and monitoring/logging tools.
- Familiarity with web security best practices (OWASP Top 10, HTTPS, JWT authentication, secure cookies, secrets management, and API security).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
