About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Clinical Dietitian to join our diabetes care team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about patient education and capable of creating evidence-based nutrition plans for patients with diabetes and other medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' nutritional status and dietary requirements.
- Develop individualized meal plans for patients with diabetes, obesity, hypertension, kidney disease, and other medical conditions.
- Provide one-on-one dietary counseling to outpatients and inpatients.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modification, weight management, and healthy eating habits.
- Conduct group education sessions and awareness programs.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify diet plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and nutrition records.
- Participate in hospital quality improvement and health promotion activities.
- Stay updated with current nutrition guidelines and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics (Mandatory)
- M.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition/Dietetics (Preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (Preferred, if applicable)
- 0–3 years of clinical experience (Freshers with good communication skills may also apply)
Skills Required
- Excellent communication and counseling skills
- Strong knowledge of diabetes nutrition therapy
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Computer proficiency (MS Office/Hospital Information System)
- Fluency in Tamil; English is an added advantage
