About the Role:The team:
Our Technology team oversees the operation of our client-facing and colleague Platforms by working with our internal business teams and our three core business segments: Trade Processing, Trade Lifecycle, and Optimization to deliver an outstanding experience to our Partners through our Products.
Responsibilities and impact:
We are looking for an innovative and self motivated Java Developer to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications. You will work extensively with modern Java (Java 17+), Spring Boot, Hibernate
If you have a solid foundation in Core Java and a passion for building robust systems in a cloud-native environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Write clean, efficient, and testable code using Java 17+ and modern frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
- Cloud Integration: Deploy, manage, and scale applications in a cloud environment (preferably GCP) using modern containerization and orchestration tools.
- Architecture & Optimization: Build robust RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring optimal performance, low latency, and high availability.
- Code Quality: Participate actively in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and ensure adherence to best coding practices and design patterns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA engineers.
- Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve production issues, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing application performance.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional software development experience primarily focused on backend engineering.
- Modern Java: Hands-on experience with Java 17 or higher, including a strong understanding of recent language features.
- Version Control: Strong experience with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Unit Testing: Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
Preferred Qualifications (Standout Skills)
- GCP Expertise: Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
