Job Purpose
The Senior Specialist, Technical Records and Publications is responsible for administering and controlling aircraft technical records and technical publications to ensure continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity, availability, and traceability of maintenance records while maintaining controlled technical documentation required to support aircraft maintenance and engineering operations. The incumbent also provides technical expertise, supports audit readiness, and drives continuous improvements in records and document management processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Records Management
- Maintain complete, accurate, and current aircraft, engine, APU, landing gear, and component maintenance records in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and company procedures.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of maintenance documentation, including work packages, maintenance releases, logbook entries, component installation/removal records, and certificates of release to service.
- Monitor aircraft maintenance history to ensure traceability of life-limited parts, scheduled maintenance tasks, modifications, repairs, and mandatory inspections.
- Manage the receipt, indexing, filing, storage, retrieval, retention, and archival of technical records in both electronic and physical formats.
- Ensure technical records are available to support maintenance planning, engineering activities, aircraft transfers, lease returns, and regulatory inspections.
Technical Publications Management
- Administer the controlled distribution and revision of technical publications, including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Wiring Diagram Manuals (WDM), Fault Isolation Manuals (FIM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), and Engineering Orders (EOs).
- Ensure all revisions from aircraft manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory authorities are incorporated promptly into the document control system.
- Maintain document revision status and ensure only current, approved publications are available to maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate the issuance and withdrawal of controlled technical documents in accordance with document control procedures.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with applicable civil aviation regulations, company policies, and approved procedures governing technical records and document control.
- Support internal quality audits, regulatory inspections, customer audits, and aircraft records reviews by preparing accurate documentation and evidence of compliance.
- Identify discrepancies or gaps in maintenance records and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Maintenance Planning, and Line/Base Maintenance.
- Participate in investigations relating to documentation discrepancies and recommend preventive measures.
Systems and Process Management
- Maintain data integrity within Maintenance Information Systems (MIS), Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), and other technical record databases.
- Monitor key performance indicators relating to records accuracy, document revision timeliness, and publication control.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance document management efficiency, digitization, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the implementation of new document management technologies and system enhancements.
Coordination and Support
- Coordinate with Engineering, Continuing Airworthiness Management, Maintenance Planning, Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Flight Operations to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Support aircraft deliveries, inductions, lease transitions, fleet transfers, and aircraft retirement projects by validating technical records and documentation packages.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior Technical Records and Publications personnel.
- Prepare periodic reports on records status, publication revisions, audit findings, and departmental performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification in Records Management, Document Control, Quality Management, or Aviation Maintenance is desirable.
- Training in aviation regulations, continuing airworthiness, or electronic document management systems is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Technical Records, Technical Publications, Continuing Airworthiness, Engineering Support, or Maintenance Planning within a commercial airline, MRO, or CAMO.
- Experience managing aircraft maintenance documentation and technical publications for commercial aircraft fleets.
- Experience using Maintenance Information Systems (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, Ramco Aviation, Rusada ENVISION, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting regulatory audits and aircraft technical records reviews.

- Occasional travel may be required to maintenance facilities, operational stations, or training programs.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
