Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing the institution's financial records, preparing financial reports, processing payments, maintaining statutory compliance, and ensuring accurate accounting practices. The role supports effective financial management while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting
Maintain day-to-day accounting records.
Record receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger postings.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank accounts and cash books.
2. Fee & Revenue Management
Maintain student fee records.
Monitor fee collections and outstanding dues.
Generate fee reports and payment receipts.
Coordinate with the Admission and Accounts teams regarding fee payments.
3. Payroll Management
Prepare monthly salary statements.
Process payroll, statutory deductions, and reimbursements.
Maintain employee salary records.
Issue salary slips.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices and payments.
Maintain supplier and customer accounts.
Track receivables and follow up on pending payments.
Verify bills, quotations, and purchase invoices.
5. Budget & Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing the annual budget.
Monitor departmental expenses.
Prepare MIS and financial reports for Management.
Support financial planning and forecasting.
6. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST (if applicable), TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain statutory registers and financial records.
Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
7. Banking & Cash Management
Handle banking transactions and reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash.
Ensure secure handling of cash and financial documents.
8. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain financial files and supporting documents.
Preserve vouchers, invoices, and payment records.
Ensure confidentiality of financial information.
Required Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter) or equivalent.
1–5 years of accounting experience (experience in educational institutions is preferred).
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Income Tax regulations.
Financial reporting and reconciliation skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Integrity and confidentiality.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
