Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fabrication Supervisor to oversee day-to-day fabrication operations in our electrical panel enclosure and sheet metal manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising fabrication activities including laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, grinding, and sheet metal processing while ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
- Supervise daily fabrication activities to achieve production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Plan and allocate manpower efficiently across fabrication processes including laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, grinding, and assembly preparation.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to daily and monthly production targets.
- Coordinate with Production Planning (PPC) to prioritize jobs and ensure timely execution.
- Optimize machine utilization and improve overall production efficiency.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure fabrication activities comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor fabrication quality and minimize rejection, rework, and material wastage.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspections and corrective actions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring quality issues.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safe working practices and ensure 100% compliance with PPE requirements.
- Maintain a safe and disciplined work environment.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report near misses or unsafe conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, guide, and motivate fabrication operators, welders, helpers, and technicians.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and shift performance.
- Conduct daily production meetings and shift handovers.
- Train and develop team members to build multi-skilled operators.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Improve manpower productivity and resource utilization.
- Reduce fabrication cycle time, material wastage, and operational costs.
- Support process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure machine availability.
- Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Report machine abnormalities and coordinate timely corrective actions.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily production reports and monitor key performance indicators.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and fabrication documentation.
- Coordinate with Stores, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth production flow.

Key Qualifications:
- Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and production operations.
- Experience in electrical panel enclosure manufacturing or a similar sheet metal fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding, CNC bending, laser cutting, fabrication, and assembly processes.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
