Project Overview
UST Canada is supporting a large Canadian financial services client on the development and enhancement of front-office pricing and risk platforms. The work is focused on cross-asset automated pricing and risk systems, primarily for FICC derivatives, and involves applications that incorporate pricing and risk models used in electronic trading workflows. The role will contribute to systems used by global front-office sales and trading users, working with stakeholders across technology, sales/trading and quantitative teams. The broader delivery environment includes distributed teams across multiple global locations.

Position Overview
The team is looking for a mid to senior-level software engineer in Trivandrum, India to join the core pricing/risk services development team. This is a UST Canada role supporting a client project for one of the largest financial institutions in Canada. The role requires working 4 days a week in the office. The ideal candidate has the following skills:
Essentials:
5+ years experience as a software engineer
5+ years' of strong Core Java knowledge, JDK 11+
Ability to develop high performance event-driven messaging systems
Experience with implementing automated unit + regression testing into CI/CD development pipelines
Strong understanding and experience with multi-threaded programming
Highly desirable:
Strong knowledge of Interest Rate Swap products (FRA/IRS/XCCY)
JavaScript + React experience
Python experience
Candidate should also be or have:
Self-starter, delivery focused
Ability to work on multiple initiatives at the same time
Familiar with Agile, and SDLC processes
