About the Role
We're looking for a writer with strong editorial instincts and a genuine interest in AI.
You'll own the newsletter from research to publication. That includes identifying stories, verifying facts, writing editorials, editing copy, and preparing each edition for publishing.
This role is for someone who enjoys learning, follows AI every day, and can explain technical topics in a clear and engaging way.
Responsibilities
- Own the editorial workflow from research to publication.
- Track AI news, research papers, product launches, startups, funding, regulations, and developer tools.
- Identify important stories before they become mainstream.
- Research and verify information from reliable sources.
- Write editorials, news summaries, explainers, and feature stories.
- Draft complete newsletter editions.
- Write headlines, summaries, introductions, and email subject lines.
- Add context and analysis instead of simply reporting the news.
- Simplify complex AI concepts without losing accuracy.
- Edit and proofread every issue.
- Maintain a consistent editorial voice and quality standard.
- Use AI tools to improve research and drafting while maintaining editorial quality.
- Improve newsletter quality using reader feedback and performance metrics.
- Suggest new content formats and recurring sections.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in journalism, editorial, technology writing, or content writing.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
- Deep interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them clearly.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your workflow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Journalism, Communications, English, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience covering AI, technology, startups, software, or venture capital.
- Understanding of LLMs, AI agents, MCP, RAG, vector databases, inference, fine-tuning, multimodal models, and AI infrastructure.
- Programming experience is a plus.
- Experience writing newsletters or long-form editorial content.
- Portfolio of published articles, newsletters, blogs, or technology writing.
