Azure Platform Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Azure Platform Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Azure cloud services, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, security, monitoring, and container orchestration.
In this role, you will collaborate with development and operations teams to build and maintain Azure infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, enhance cloud security, and support enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities Azure Cloud Engineering
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Azure infrastructure and workloads.
- Ensure the performance, reliability, scalability, and availability of Azure applications and services.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup strategies.
DevOps & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, and CodeQL.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement continuous delivery methodologies on Azure.
Security & Compliance
- Implement Azure security best practices using Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, and other Azure security services.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments.
- Implement remediation measures for identified security risks.
- Ensure secure coding practices are followed in development processes.
- Implement and maintain regulatory compliance controls for Azure infrastructure.
Containerization & Monitoring
- Manage Docker containers and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
- Configure and maintain monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security metrics.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and perform root cause analysis.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with developers, architects, and operations teams to deliver cloud solutions.
- Define and document best practices for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members on Azure technologies and cloud solutions.
- Assist in the development of cost management strategies for Azure resource utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, SonarQube, and CodeQL.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
- Proficiency with Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Azure Key Vault, and other Azure security services.
- Experience conducting vulnerability scans, security assessments, and remediation activities.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.
- Experience implementing regulatory compliance controls for Azure infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on scripting experience with one or more of the following:
- YAML
- JSON
- PowerShell
- Bash
- Python
- Experience in Infrastructure Engineering and automation.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
