Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled GCP DevOps Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-native infrastructure and DevOps solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE), CI/CD automation, Docker, cloud security, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and platform reliability engineering . This role will be responsible for driving cloud transformation initiatives, automating deployments, optimizing infrastructure performance, and ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP.Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and reusable modules.Deploy, administer, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments through Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows.Implement deployment strategies such as Rolling Updates, Blue-Green Deployments, and Canary Releases.Configure and manage GCP services including Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Load Balancers, Cloud DNS, Artifact Registry, and Cloud SQL.Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, and related tools.Collaborate with Development, QA, Security, and Architecture teams to improve platform reliability and delivery efficiency.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and drive proactive reliability improvements.Implement DevSecOps practices, security controls, compliance checks, and vulnerability management within CI/CD pipelines.Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost utilization.Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and best-practice guidelines
Skill Requirements
Technical Skills5-7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native architectures.Extensive experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation.Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) administration.Hands-on experience with Docker , container orchestration, and microservices deployment.Expertise in building and managing enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines .Experience with Helm , Kubernetes networking, Ingress Controllers, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Autoscaling.Proficiency with source control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.Strong Linux system administration and scripting skills using Bash, Shell, or Python.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, Subnets, Firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and Load Balancers.Experience with GCP security best practices including IAM, Service Accounts, Secrets Management, and Audit Logging.Hands-on exposure to DevSecOps tools, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and cloud cost optimization.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ArgoCD, FluxCD, or GitOps frameworks.Experience with Cloud Run, Anthos, Serverless technologies, or Multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Associate Cloud Engineer.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
