Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer – Frontend with strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Jest, and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile environment.

This role requires a hands-on engineer who can drive technical excellence, collaborate with onshore leads and product teams on complex integrations, mentor junior developers, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications using React.js and related frontend technologies.
Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable UI components.
Translate UX/UI designs into high-quality production-ready code.
Develop responsive and accessible web applications that provide exceptional user experiences.

Software Engineering Excellence

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.

Testing & Quality

Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and related testing frameworks.
Maintain high code quality through code reviews, static analysis, and CI/CD practices.
Ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

Collaboration

Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and Backend Engineers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.

Continuous Improvement

Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry best practices.
Drive adoption of engineering standards, automation, and development efficiencies.
Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical communities within the GCC.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

5+ years of professional software development experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js in enterprise-scale applications.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.

Technical Skills

Frontend

Expert knowledge of:
- React.js
- JavaScript (ES6+)
- TypeScript
- HTML5
- CSS3
- Responsive Web Design

Testing

Strong hands-on experience with:
- Jest
- React Testing Library
- Unit, Integration, and Component Testing

State Management

Experience with one or more:
- Redux
- Redux Toolkit
- Context API
- Zustand

API Integration

Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
Good understanding of API-driven application development.

Build & Dev Tools

Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps
Webpack/Vite
npm/yarn
CI/CD pipelines

Cloud & DevOps (Preferred)

Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of containerization and deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Next.js or modern React frameworks.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
Experience with UI component libraries such as Material UI, Ant Design, or Chakra UI.
Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures.
Experience working in a product engineering environment.
Understanding of frontend security best practices.
