Role Overview
The Corporate EHS Manager – India is responsible for supporting the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy across Otis India operations. This role ensures the development of a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, environmental sustainability, and continuous risk reduction across field operations, factories, subcontractors, and joint ventures.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee EHS governance systems including FRA, FFA, SFA, FPA, Program Evaluations, BSA, and Safety-in-Action reviews.
· Support regional and local operations on risk identification, corrective action closure, EHS coaching, and accountability.
· Lead migration of audits and pre-starts to digital Survey App platforms.
· Prepare / Collate and Provide timely and accurate EHS performance reporting to Otis India Leadership, APAC, and WHQ EHS teams including incidents, investigations, environmental data, working hours, audits, and recognition programs.
· Achieve more than 95% completion of annual Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) with focus on risk severity reduction.
· Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action tracking as per GS-103 Incident Management standards.
· Reduce high-risk subcontractor exposure by at least 20% through audits, engagement, and capability building.
· Drive strong safety climate through STKY, Stop Work Authority, Field Safety Engagements, and behavior-based safety programs.
· Ensure 98%+ completion of global EHS training and 100% Cardinal Rules education for all employees and partners.
· Support motorcycle safety initiatives and high-risk field operations mitigation.
· Drive environmental sustainability initiatives including GHG emission reduction targets and Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL).
· Actively participate as a Center of Excellence (CoE) contributor in regional and global EHS initiatives

· Achieve fatality- and serious-injury-free workplace.
· Continuous reduction in TRIR and LTIR.
· Year-on-year reduction in GHG emissions.
· Sustained improvement in safety engagement and SWA participation.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor / Diploma of Engineering or equivalent with recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety.
· 8+ years of EHS experience, preferably within elevator, construction, or manufacturing industries.
· Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
· Demonstrated experience with digital EHS systems and global governance frameworks.
