Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

Collect information from all available sources to prepare accurate and complete designs and drawings.

Study of input data from Section Manager and Laying out of GLRS & LLRS in schematic design stage.

Preparation of drawings & schedules using American codes and Standards.

Preparing designs predominantly Steel structures, for industrial plants, factories, warehouses etc.

Preparing designs with various construction materials including masonry, joist, cold-formed and pre-cast.

Performing design work in Revit software and review of 3D models.

Attending review meetings and suggest necessary changes for the design and development of projects.

Preparation of BOQ, specifications etc. Checking shop drawings/fabrication drawings.

Preparation of Monthly, Weekly and Daily plans, Monitoring the project progress and budget, and highlighting critical issues when required.

Provide feedback to Management and Client with necessary reports.

Coordination with global offices and with the internal departments like Plant Layout, Mechanical & Product teams for obtaining inputs, clarifications, interface checking and loadings.

Mentoring less experienced structural engineers and designers and providing quality reviews of their work.

Interface with clients to develop scope of work, and review project progress.

Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments.

Provide cost-effective designs within budget and on schedule.

Communicate design direction effectively to design support staff.
Qualifications:
-
Full time Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.

Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in analysis and design of structural steel and concrete structures of significant complexity utilizing structural analysis and design software.

Ability to create bid drawings and specifications and provide adequate direction to design support staff.

Must be able to meet delivery schedules and budgets on multiple concurrent projects.

Must have excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in classified area design is preferred.

Understanding of Revit is preferred.
- Knowledge of software like Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 etc. is an added advantage.
- Candidate should be open to learn BIM (Revit) software.

Good working knowledge of Building Codes and standards (For example – IBC, ASCE7 etc.) as well as AISC & ACI Materials Codes & other referenced standards.

Should be flexible to work in the evening hours to maintain the communication with the USA teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid core knowledge of Structural Engineering design principles and standard practices are required. Experience with commercially available structural analysis & design software is required and experience with Revit Structures is also preferred. Candidate should be prepared to complete a live testing session as part of the interview process. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
