A website can pass every functional check and still fail the client the moment they look at it closely — a button one pixel off, a form that breaks on Safari, a layout that shifts on mobile. This role exists to catch exactly that: functional bugs and visual imperfections, before a client ever sees them. You’ll test across WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce builds, verifying both that things work and that they look exactly the way they were designed to.
This role sits close to Development and Design, translating what was built against what was intended, and making sure the gap between design file and live site is as close to zero as possible.

- Perform manual testing on websites across various browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure compatibility and responsiveness
- Verify the proper functionality of website features, including forms, navigation menus, multimedia elements, and interactive components
- Collaborate with the development and design teams to comprehend project requirements and objectives before testing begins
- Test WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce websites to ensure seamless functionality and compatibility across e-commerce platforms
- Conduct testing of WordPress web maintenance websites, ensuring updates and changes are implemented without compromising the website’s integrity and functionality
- Verify checkout flows, product pages, payment gateways, and order management logic on e-commerce builds
- Conduct design testing for websites with a keen focus on achieving pixel-perfect accuracy against approved design files
- Compare live builds against Figma/Adobe XD designs to catch spacing, alignment, typography, and color discrepancies
- Test UI consistency across breakpoints — desktop, tablet, and mobile — to ensure responsive designs are implemented correctly
- Flag deviations between design intent and actual implementation clearly, with side-by-side references where useful
- Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and usability issues using project management or bug-tracking tools
- Work closely with developers to investigate and replicate reported issues, providing clear and concise steps for replication
- Maintain organized, consistent bug reports that developers can act on without needing back-and-forth clarification
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to offer insights into improving the overall quality assurance process
- Coordinate with PMs and developers on testing timelines and priorities across concurrent projects
- Contribute to building more structured, repeatable QA checklists over time
- Use AI tools to help generate test case checklists, summarize bug patterns, or speed up documentation of testing sessions
- Leverage AI-assisted visual comparison tools where useful to catch pixel-level design discrepancies faster
- Explore ways AI can reduce repetitive manual testing effort without compromising thoroughness
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web design and quality assurance
- Bring relevant new testing tools or techniques back to the team

- 5+ years of experience in manual QA/testing, ideally within a digital agency or web development environment
- Must have experience with WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce website testing, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility of e-commerce platforms
- Proven experience in design testing for websites with a keen focus on achieving pixel-perfect accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously review and analyze websites for bugs and errors
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues
- Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
