Voice AI Intern — Remote

Company: Neurohaze AI
Location: Remote / Work from Home
Duration: 3 months
Start date: Between 2 August and 6 September 2026
Schedule: 5 days per week

About Neurohaze AI

Neurohaze AI is a Dubai-based applied AI company and the applied-intelligence practice of Delta Mind, a UAE-headquartered deep-tech company.

We build and deploy production AI systems across LLM integrations, intelligent automation, computer vision, Arabic NLP, autonomous agents, and MLOps infrastructure. Our work spans the full lifecycle—from problem definition and prototyping to live deployment and continuous optimisation.

We are looking for people who think rigorously, move quickly, and care about building AI that performs reliably in the real world.

About the Internship

We are seeking a Voice AI Intern to help build and improve production-grade conversational voice agents. You will work across the complete voice pipeline, including speech recognition, dialogue logic, LLM reasoning, tool calling, and speech synthesis.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys experimenting with new technologies, measuring performance, and turning prototypes into dependable systems.

Key Responsibilities

Build and iterate on voice-agent pipelines involving streaming ASR/STT, intent detection, dialogue logic, LLM reasoning, and TTS.
Integrate speech and language APIs from different providers.
Evaluate providers based on accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost.
Develop prompts, tool definitions, and conversation flows that perform well during unpredictable real-world calls.
Profile the end-to-end pipeline, identify bottlenecks, reduce latency, and validate improvements with measurable results.
Test voice systems against challenging audio conditions, including accents, dialects, background noise, overlapping speech, interruptions, and barge-in.
Create evaluation harnesses and automated test suites so system quality can be measured consistently.
Support Arabic-language voice capabilities, with a particular focus on Gulf dialects.
Document systems, experiments, and deployment processes clearly so other team members can reproduce and maintain the work.
Contribute to internal tools, demonstrations, and prototypes for emerging voice-AI use cases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong Python programming skills, including comfort with asynchronous code and REST APIs.
Working knowledge of LLM concepts such as prompting, context management, structured outputs, and function/tool calling.
Familiarity with at least one speech technology area: ASR/STT, TTS, or audio processing.
Ability to read technical documentation and independently integrate unfamiliar APIs.
Clear written and spoken English.
Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in building reliable, measurable AI systems.

Experience with AI voiceover, generative AI tools, LLM evaluation, LLMOps, web development, or Arabic NLP is an advantage.
