Lead ERP Solution Consultant

Role Overview
The Lead ERPNext Solution Consultant owns end-to-end ERPNext solution design and delivery across functional and technical workstreams.
The role leads discovery, process mapping, solution architecture, configuration and customization strategy, integrations, data migration, estimation, implementation guidance, UAT and go-live.
The Lead Consultant provides solution direction to ERPNext consultants, functional consultants and engineers while ensuring that the proposed solution is scalable, maintainable, commercially viable and aligned with ERPNext and Frappe best practices.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Solution Ownership
Lead discovery workshops with business and senior client stakeholders.
Understand business objectives, processes, controls, pain points and future requirements.
Define integrated ERPNext solutions covering multiple companies, modules and locations.
Prepare process architecture, solution diagrams and cross-module transaction flows.
Own the overall configuration, customization, integration and data strategy.
Define acceptance criteria and solution-quality standards.
ERPNext Solution Architecture
Determine appropriate use of standard ERPNext functionality versus customization.
Design advanced workflows, permission structures, reports and approval processes.
Design custom Frappe applications and integration approaches with Engineering.
Review API architecture, data flow and external-system integration design.
Ensure scalability, upgrade compatibility, security and maintainability.
Consult the CTO or Technical Architect for complex framework, infrastructure or performance decisions.
Estimation and Presales Support
Prepare and review project scope, effort estimates, team structure and implementation phases.
Document assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, risks and contingencies.
Support presales discovery, ERPNext demonstrations and solution presentations.
Ensure that proposed solutions are practical and deliverable.
Complete structured presales-to-delivery handover.
Support scope clarification after project kickoff without allowing uncontrolled scope expansion.
Delivery Leadership
Guide Senior and ERPNext Solution Consultants.
Coordinate solution execution across Functional Consulting, Engineering, QA and DevOps.
Conduct solution reviews and ensure adherence to approved designs.
Resolve complex cross-functional and technical issues.
Support Project Managers in risk, dependency and milestone management.
Lead UAT readiness, go-live review and solution acceptance.
Capability and Reusable Assets
Mentor consultants and conduct technical-functional reviews.
Contribute reusable ERPNext templates, scripts, integrations and implementation accelerators.
Improve estimation models, solution standards and documentation templates.
Share lessons learned from completed implementations.
Support recruitment and technical assessment of ERPNext Solution Consultants.
Required Experience and Skills
Extensive hands-on ERPNext and Frappe Framework experience.
Strong cross-module ERPNext functional knowledge.
Advanced understanding of Python, JavaScript, SQL, APIs and Frappe architecture.
Experience designing complex customizations and integrations.
Experience leading end-to-end ERPNext implementations.
Strong effort-estimation and solution-planning ability.
Experience managing senior client stakeholders.
Ability to guide both consultants and software engineers.
Strong solution documentation, presentation and decision-making skills.
