Job Description:
We're looking for a seasoned Full-Stack Staff Engineer to join our team. Here's the lowdown on what you'll be doing:
Full-Stack Development
You'll be our go-to for Python and Django, building out scalable APIs and microservices. We also dabble in MCP and RAG, so experience in those areas is a huge plus! This is the primary area of focus, leveraging your technical expertise in application development.
Python, Django Development: Design and implement scalable, secure APIs and backend logic using Python, Django, and microservices.
Data Modeling: Architect database schemas and optimize PostgreSQL/RDS/Redis/JSON performance for high-throughput services.
System Integration: Integrate backend services with AWS native tools (e.g., SQS, S3, Lambda) to build highly scalable, decoupled architectures. Platform & DevOps.
Developing React pages, shell scripts, Python test cases, exposure to Jenkins pipelines.
Experience with JavaScript, CSS, and VS Code plugin development is a plus.
DevOps & Infrastructure
You'll help us keep the ship sailing smoothly by managing our AWS EKS clusters. We love Terraform for infrastructure and use tools like GitHub Actions, Concourse, and Jenkins to keep our CI/CD pipelines humming. This is the secondary area of focus.
Infrastructure as Code & Orchestration: Design, manage, and scale high-availability Kubernetes (EKS) clusters on AWS. Utilize Terraform for declarative provisioning and management of all cloud infrastructure resources.
CI/CD: Architect, implement, and maintain robust deployment pipelines, leveraging GitHub Actions (CI/CD), Concourse, and Jenkins, with a clear mandate to move toward a "continuous deployment" maturity model.
Container Strategy: Own the complete Docker lifecycle—from ensuring local development environment consistency to securing and optimizing production images.
Helm Governance: Create and maintain standardized Helm charts to package and deploy applications consistently across all environments.
Reliability & Performance
Observability: Implement comprehensive logging, tracing, and monitoring solutions across both the application and the Kubernetes cluster to enable proactive incident response.
Automation: Utilize Python to build custom DevOps tooling and scripts, significantly reducing manual intervention and toil in the release cycle.
Project Management and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Wearing the PM Hat : Part of the role involves keeping projects on track. You'll collaborate with other teams, manage Jira tickets, and make sure everything is tested end-to-end before it hits production.
This is your third area of focus. In this role, you will be managing our development process, project management, Raising/approving Jira tickets, attending cross-functional team meetings, documentation, and testing.
Technical Requirements:
Web Framework: Python, Django (Senior-level experience with ORM and REST Framework), microservices
AI Framework: MCP, RAG, OAuth 2.0
Cloud: AWS (Expert knowledge in EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, EC2, S3), preferably certified in AWS development.
Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Good proficiency with Terraform for managing cloud and Kubernetes resources.
CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions (CI/CD), Concourse, and Jenkins.
Orchestration: Kubernetes (Proven experience with Pods, Services, Ingress, and ConfigMaps)
Packaging: Docker & Helm (Expert at writing secure Dockerfiles and templating with Helm)
Experience: 10+ years in professional software development with at least 2 years in DevOps.
The "Full-Cycle" Mindset: You believe that a developer's job isn't finished until the code is running successfully in production and being monitored.
Polyglot Skills: You can switch between troubleshooting a Jenkins Groovy script, fixing an infrastructure bug in Terraform, and resolving a Django middleware issue without breaking a sweat.
Security-Conscious: You understand how to manage Kubernetes secrets and IAM roles to maintain a secure application and infrastructure posture.
Very well-versed with testing frameworks, developing pre-merge and post-merge scripts
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering
