Job Description – Chemical Analyst (Building Materials Testing Laboratory)

Position: Chemical Analyst
Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry
Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan
Key Responsibilities
Perform chemical analysis of cement, fly ash, GGBS, water, aggregates, concrete admixtures, soil, and other construction materials.
Conduct tests as per relevant IS, ASTM, BS, and NABL requirements.
Prepare standard solutions, reagents, and testing samples.
Analyze test results and prepare accurate laboratory reports.
Maintain laboratory records, test registers, and calibration records.
Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment.
Assist in internal audits, NABL assessments, and quality system implementation.
Monitor quality control activities and ensure compliance with laboratory procedures.
Investigate non-conforming test results and recommend corrective actions.
Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
Coordinate with clients, project engineers, and laboratory staff regarding testing requirements.
Support development and validation of new testing methods when required. Relevant construction-material laboratories commonly perform testing, reporting, equipment maintenance, and quality-system compliance activities.
Required Skills
Knowledge of chemical testing of construction materials.
Understanding of IS Codes, ASTM Standards, and NABL requirements.
Hands-on experience with titration, pH analysis, gravimetric and volumetric analysis.
Good laboratory documentation and reporting skills.
Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and laboratory software.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Educational Qualification
M.Sc. Chemistry (Mandatory)
Experience
1–5 years of experience in a construction material testing laboratory, cement laboratory, construction chemicals laboratory, or NABL-accredited testing laboratory.
Freshers with strong academic knowledge may also apply.
Pay: Up to ₹22,000.00 per month
