About Position:
The Support Manager will lead a team of engineers to ensure reliable and secure backup and restore operations across virtual machines, operating systems, VMware environments, on-premises and cloud storage, and multiple database platforms. The role ensures adherence to automates routine operations, manages incidents and changes, and drives continuous improvement.

What You'll Do:

Lead a team of L1/L2 engineers handling day-to-day backup/restore operations

Monitor incident queues, prioritize issues, and ensure SLA compliance.

Oversee policy-based backups for VMs, OS, VMware, databases, and storage systems (on-prem/cloud).

Handle escalations, perform RCA for recurring issues, and ensure timely resolution.
-
Coordinate with L3 teams and vendors for escalations.
-
Maintain SOPs, and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

Drive automation for backup jobs, reporting, and health checks using scripting tools.
-
Implement ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
-
Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
-
Collaborate with technical support engineers to identify process gaps and implement improvements.

Track and report KPIs related to case resolution, customer satisfaction, and SLA adherence.

Manage resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in backup operations, DR planning, and customer engagement.
Expertise You'll Bring:

10–12 years in infrastructure/backup operations.

Windows/Linux OS, VMware/Hyper-V, Virtualization, Networking
-
Technical understanding of Windows/Linux servers, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking.

Knowledge of any backup tools (Commvault, NetBackup, Veeam, Veritas).

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Databases Backup (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

ITSM Tools: ServiceNow/Jira.

Automation: PowerShell, Bash.
-
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
