Key areas of responsibility

Define and own the automation strategy and test framework for clinical dashboards, backend microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and integrated workflows.
Lead the development of automated tests covering UI, API, integration, system, and end-to-end scenarios.
Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using C# and suitable tools such as Playwright, Selenium, SpecFlow, and NUnit.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to automation engineers on test architecture, tooling, coding practices, and quality standards.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish reliable execution, reporting, and quality-gate mechanisms.
Collaborate with software developers and technical leaders during design and code reviews to ensure testability is built into the solution.
Define test coverage metrics, quality KPIs, defect-management practices, and release-readiness criteria.
Investigate test failures, coordinate defect resolution, and drive root-cause analysis with development teams.
Prepare test plans, protocols, reports, and other documentation required for quality-management and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate emerging automation tools and continuously improve test coverage, execution speed, reliability, and maintainability.

Work Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Must have Experience

7- 10 years of experience in software quality engineering, including a minimum of three years in a senior or lead automation role.
Strong programming and automation-development experience in C#.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, SpecFlow, NUnit, or equivalent technologies.
ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification.
Proven experience designing and maintaining test-automation frameworks from the ground up.
Strong knowledge of UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
Experience integrating automated tests with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD platforms.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, mentoring, and technical-leadership skills.
Experience working in Agile or SAFe development environments.
Ability to use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test design, automation, and analysis.

Good to have experience:

Python scripting and automation tooling.
Docker and Kubernetes-based test environments.
API testing using tools such as Postman or RestSharp.
Performance and scalability testing.
Regulated software development, preferably involving IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA requirements, or medical-device software.
