Job Description – Driver About Samarpan Foundation Trust Samarpan Foundation Trust is a registered NGO working in community healthcare and social welfare programs across 10 states in India. The organization conducts healthcare outreach camps and field activities, including programs focused on leprosy care, early cancer detection, health screening, and community health awareness. Position Driver – Field / Medical Outreach Team Key Responsibilities - Drive organization vehicles safely for medical camps, healthcare projects, and field activities across different locations. - Transport doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, staff, and volunteers to camp and project locations. - Safely transport medical equipment, medicines, supplies, documents, and other project materials. - Assist the healthcare team with loading and unloading equipment and camp materials when required. - Ensure timely arrival and departure of the medical team at camp locations. - Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle. - Conduct routine checks of fuel, tyres, engine oil, brakes, lights, and other essential vehicle components. - Report vehicle faults, maintenance requirements, accidents, or other issues promptly to the concerned supervisor. - Maintain vehicle logbooks, travel records, fuel records, and other required documentation. - Follow all traffic rules, road-safety regulations, and organizational policies. - Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct while working with patients, doctors, staff, and community members. - Provide assistance during outstation medical camps and field visits as required. - Be willing to travel and work across different states of India according to project requirements. - Support the team during emergency or urgent transportation requirements when needed. Eligibility & Requirements - Valid Indian Driving Licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated. - Good knowledge of local and inter-state routes and road safety. - Previous experience as a professional driver is preferred. - Experience with NGO, hospital, medical camp, ambulance, or field-work operations will be an advantage. - Good communication skills and a responsible attitude. - Ability to work flexible hours and travel for outstation assignments. - Physically fit and capable of assisting with loading/unloading of camp equipment. Work Location Medical camps and field projects are conducted across 10 states in India. The selected candidate should be comfortable with frequent travel and outstation assignments. Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
