Job Description:

As a member of our India Global Resource Center, you would contribute to CDM Smith's vision by serving as Process Task Lead or Primary Process Engineer on a multitude of projects focused on water and wastewater treatment plant planning, design, and construction. This role will include coordination with team members of various engineering disciplines in our local offices as well as offices across the United States.

Experience with design development of new drinking water treatment plants, upgrading existing facilities, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Membrane technology design experience including Reverse Osmosis on international/national water treatment plant projects.
Design and detailed engineering experience on Zero liquid discharge plants and micropollutant treatment plants is preferable.
Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Mentors more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm. May supervise the work of junior engineers on project work.

Completing Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables and review of more junior staff work product.
Participate or assist in new business development by contributing to technical approach and level of effort development

Skills & Abilities:

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of Experience (Preferred).
Strong communication skills with internal and external clients
Experience as a leader, mentor, and problem solver with a determination for excellence.
Independent player with high self-motivation.
Experience on International projects/clients will be added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineering (CEng) License (Preferred)
Experience in International Projects will be added advantage

Amount of Travel Required: No Travel is required Background Check and Drug Testing Information: CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States. If this position is subject to a background check for any convictions related to its responsibilities and requirements, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history. Criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate. In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing.
