Job title: Senior General Manager - FP&A

Location: Chennai

Education: MBA in Finance - from a premium institute

Experience: 15+ years

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Management:

Lead the FP&A department, including management of senior finance professionals and analysts.
Partner with senior leadership to develop and drive the companys long-term financial strategies and objectives.
Provide thought leadership on financial trends, market conditions, and operational performance, offering actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Oversee the development and execution of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Drive the creation of detailed financial models to assess business performance, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
Conduct variance analysis and develop proactive recommendations for mitigating risks or capitalizing on opportunities.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Establish and maintain KPIs and financial metrics to monitor business performance.
Prepare and present high-level financial reports and presentations for the board of directors and senior management.
Monitor financial and operational results and ensure alignment with the companys strategic goals.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with business leaders across various functions (Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.) to drive financial performance and ensure the alignment of business and financial strategies.
Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews with functional leaders, offering insights to drive operational and financial efficiency.

Financial Governance & Risk Management:

Ensure adherence to financial controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Lead risk management efforts by identifying potential financial risks and recommending mitigation strategies.

Team Development & Mentorship:

Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the FP&A department, providing guidance on career progression and skill development.

Key Competencies:

Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze large sets of financial data, identify trends, and synthesize actionable insights.
Strategic Vision: Ability to think long-term, make decisions that align with company goals, and adapt to changing market conditions.
Problem Solving: Skilled at identifying financial or operational challenges and creating solutions that balance risk and opportunity.
Collaboration & Influence: Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
