Job Summary
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer Analyst – Integration Platforms with 8+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in enterprise integration, middleware and API platforms. This is a run-team role that combines end-to-end platform ownership with active participation in platform modernization – including designing, building and migrating interfaces and APIs on SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, Advanced Event Mesh (AEM/Solace), WSO2 API Manager and Azure API Management.
The successful candidate will ensure platform reliability, security and governance, while also designing and delivering new integrations, APIs and event-driven flows as part of the SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite migration, API modernization and automation roadmap.
Job Description
1. Platform Ownership & Reliability
Own integration platforms end-to-end – architecture awareness, configuration, reliability, security, lifecycle and roadmap alignment.
Monitor platform health, message processing, API traffic, error rates, latency, throughput and connectivity to ensure SLA and availability commitments.
Lead incident triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem management and preventive action closure for production issues.
Drive change, release readiness, planned maintenance, upgrades, patching and post-deployment validation with minimal business disruption.
2. Interface & API Design and Development (Modernization)
Design, develop, test and deploy new interfaces, iFlows, APIs and event-driven flows on SAP Integration Suite, WSO2 API Manager, Azure APIM and Advanced Event Mesh.
Translate business and functional requirements into integration designs – interface specifications, mapping documents, error handling, retry, security and monitoring patterns.
Lead the redesign and migration of SAP PI/PO interfaces to SAP Integration Suite, including re-platforming, re-testing, cutover planning and hypercare.
Apply API-first and event-driven design principles – RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, versioning, reusable policies, throttling, and publish/subscribe patterns.
3. SAP Integration Suite & SAP PI/PO
Build and support SAP Integration Suite / SAP CPI iFlows, Cloud Connector, Open Connectors, API Management and related connectivity components.
Develop and troubleshoot SAP PI/PO interfaces across IDOC, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, REST, Proxy, File, SFTP, HTTP and OData based integrations.
Analyse integration failures, mapping and adapter issues, certificates, authentication, connectivity and performance bottlenecks.
Partner with SAP application, Basis, infrastructure, cloud and security teams during design, implementation and incident resolution.
4. API Management & Event-Driven Platforms
Configure and enhance API gateway policies, throttling, certificates, access control, routing and identity integrations.
Design and administer Advanced Event Mesh objects – queues, topics, subscriptions, broker connectivity and messaging flows.
5. Governance, Security & Compliance
Manage environment configuration, user access, role management, certificates, keys, tenant settings and platform-level security controls.
Ensure new and migrated integrations meet design, security, resiliency, monitoring and supportability standards before go-live.
Develop and maintain design documents, SOPs, runbooks, playbooks, knowledge articles and escalation models.
6. Observability, Automation & Continuous Improvement
Build and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting and dashboards using SAP monitoring tools, Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, Grafana and Azure Monitor.
Drive automation and CI/CD adoption for build, deployment, validation, reporting and repetitive support activities.
7. Collaboration, Mentoring & Communication
Collaborate with application teams, architecture, Basis, CloudOps, ServerOps, security, vendors and business stakeholders.
Communicate designs, issues, risks, status and RCA findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with incident, problem, change and release processes, performance tuning and platform governance.
Experience with API modernization, microservices integration, Groovy/Java scripting, XSLT and message mapping.
Exposure to DevOps, SRE, ITIL, Agile, JIRA, Confluence, infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks.
