Graphic Designer

Location: Kolkata
Experience: 2–3 years

The WE Foundation (TWF) is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to building resilient communities and sustainable families through innovative, community-owned development models. Established in 2011 and operating at scale since 2019, TWF works across key areas including education, health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), women’s health and hygiene, poverty alleviation, and climate resilience. Driven by the belief that lasting change begins at the grassroots, we collaborate with communities, governments, corporates, and development partners to create sustainable solutions that improve lives and strengthen local ecosystems.

Role Overview

The WE Foundation is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer who is responsible for creating visually engaging and impactful designs that support the organization's marketing, branding, and communication initiatives. The role focuses on developing high-quality creative assets for social media, websites, digital marketing campaigns, print materials, and promotional activities while ensuring consistency with the organization's brand identity. Working closely with the marketing and communications teams. The Graphic Designer transforms ideas into compelling visual content that enhances audience engagement, strengthens brand presence, and effectively communicates key messages across both digital and print platforms. The ideal candidate possesses strong creative skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of design principles, branding, and current visual communication trends.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Visual Content Creation

· Design high-quality creative assets for social media platforms, websites, email campaigns, and other digital marketing channels.

· Create visually appealing posters, brochures, banners, flyers, infographics, presentations, and other promotional materials for both digital and print use.

· Develop engaging graphics and visual content that effectively communicate the organization's campaigns, programs, events, and initiatives.

· Produce creative concepts, layouts, and illustrations that align with project objectives and target audiences.

Brand Management

· Ensure all creative materials are consistent with the organization's brand identity, visual guidelines, and communication standards.

· Maintain uniformity in typography, colour palettes, imagery, and overall design across all communication channels.

· Support the development and evolution of brand assets and templates.

Marketing & Campaign Support

· Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop creative designs for marketing campaigns, awareness initiatives, and promotional activities.

· Design campaign-specific visuals that increase audience engagement and strengthen brand visibility.

· Create graphics for digital advertisements, newsletters, presentations, and marketing collateral.

Website & Digital Media

· Design website banners, landing page graphics, icons, and other digital assets to enhance user experience.

· Optimize graphics for web, mobile, and social media platforms while maintaining high visual quality.

Creative Collaboration

· Work closely with content writers, marketing professionals, program teams, and external vendors to transform concepts into compelling visual designs.

· Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for campaigns and communication materials.

· Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and revise designs as required.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Multimedia, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.

· 2–3 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, branding, or digital marketing, preferably within the non-profit, development, corporate, or social impact sector.

Required Skills

· Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, or similar platforms.

· Excellent graphic design skills with expertise in creating social media creatives, website graphics, digital advertisements, brochures, posters, banners, flyers, and other marketing materials.

· Strong understanding of branding, visual identity, typography, colour theory, composition, and layout design.

· Knowledge of designing creatives optimized for digital platforms, websites, social media, email marketing, and print production.

· Familiarity with basic UI/UX design principles and responsive web graphics.

· Basic knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or video editing using tools such as Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro is an added advantage.
