Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Electrical Transformer Design professionals for the positions of Assistant Manager, Manager and Senior Manager – Electrical Design.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Transformer Electrical Design and should preferably come from a Transformer Manufacturing / Power Equipment manufacturing background.
The candidate will be responsible for electrical design activities, design calculations, technical documentation and coordination with manufacturing, production, quality and other engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Electrical Design of Power / Distribution Transformers.
- Carry out transformer design calculations and technical analysis.
- Work on Core Design and Winding Design.
- Calculate and optimize No-Load Losses, Load Losses and Impedance.
- Perform calculations related to Voltage Regulation, Temperature Rise and efficiency.
- Develop and review transformer electrical design specifications.
- Prepare and review design drawings, technical documents and design calculations.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IEC / IS standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Testing teams.
- Review technical requirements, customer specifications and design inputs.
- Support manufacturing and testing teams in resolving design-related technical issues.
- Participate in design optimization and cost/value engineering activities.
- Review and approve technical/design documents as per project requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of design activities and deliverables.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Electrical Transformer Design.
- Experience in Power Transformer / Distribution Transformer Design.
- Good knowledge of Core Design and Winding Design.
- Strong understanding of Transformer Design Calculations.
- Experience in Loss, Impedance, Voltage Regulation and Temperature Rise calculations.
- Knowledge of transformer electrical components and design parameters.
- Good understanding of IEC / IS Transformer Standards.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good coordination skills with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in the following industries will be preferred:
- Transformer Manufacturing
- Power Transformer Manufacturing
- Distribution Transformer Manufacturing
- Electrical Equipment Manufacturing
- Power Equipment / EPC Industry
Educational Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience
5–15+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Transformer Design.
Position level will be aligned with the candidate's experience and technical expertise:
- Assistant Manager: 5+ Years
- Manager: Relevant mid-senior level experience
- Senior Manager: Strong senior-level Transformer Design experience

Candidates with only site execution, testing, maintenance or general electrical design experience without relevant transformer design experience may not be suitable for this position.
