DESCRIPTION

The Inventory Trust (SPIV) team is responsible for removing the incentive for bad actors while accurately and fairly paying millions of third-party sellers and disrupting the bad actor flywheel to change the economics of abuse within our store. The team works to ensure that bad actors cannot profit from using our services to abuse customers, selling partners, and Amazon. To accomplish this mission, we withhold funds from bad actors, deny our fulfillment network to bad actors as a means to scale their abuse, ensure that counterfeit/illegal inventory is destroyed, prevent seller credit abuse, and identify and disrupt bad actor accounts. While we obsess over customers, we specialize in obsessing over bad actors to identify their friction points and multiply them exponentially in ways that don't impact good sellers. Our vision is to ensure bad actors never receive a dollar from selling on Amazon and abusing our policies. The team performs investigation and enforcement on bad actors with the goal of preventing bad inventory from being inbounded into our Fulfillment Center (FC) network and stopping bad actor inventory from entering the FC network as effectively as possible, with an effective reinstatement and appeals process.
This role is for an experienced People Manager in the Risk job family to lead a team of Risk Specialists focused on mitigating inbound and inventory risks. The candidate will provide leadership and administrative support to direct reports, drive process improvements, perform program lifecycle audits, and conduct peer reviews. Key responsibilities include program-level ownership of risk mitigation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement risk-based improvements, creating operational efficiencies, and conducting deep-dive analyses. The ideal candidate should possess high-judgment decision-making skills, basic SQL knowledge, and the ability to influence key stakeholders through data-driven papers to support organizational goals.

Key job responsibilities
This team is required to work on high judgement investigations & risk mitigations initiatives. The role also requires to work in rotational shifts and week offs.

Manage a group of Risk Specialists in order to mitigate risk in Inventory Trust.
Manage individual and team performance expectations and goals, monitoring real-time service levels and schedule adherence, and holding his/her teams accountable to meet and exceed performance targets.
Monitor key performance metrics for productivity, quality, risk mitigation initiatives, and ops efficiency improvement initiatives, and provide guidance to constantly meet and exceed goals.
Develop employees and their skill sets to expand the team capabilities and provide growth opportunities for future Amazon leaders.
Apply risk management best practices to mitigate issues, identify operational inefficiencies, and improve processes.
Partner with cross-functional teams across Amazon for collaboration on fraud risks and investigations.
Strive for operational excellence and process improvement. Analyze the key levers of the business to identify trends and proactively act to eliminate root causes for defects.

About the team
The Inventory Trust (IT) has set up the Inventory Evaluation team focused on investigating bad actors using Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) services. The goal is to prevent bad inventory from being inbounded into our Fulfilment Centre (FC) network. We intend to side-line and remove bad inventory effectively as possible and stop bad actor inventory from entering the FC network, with an effective reinstatement and appeals process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working on identity verification/fraud detection processes
Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Microsoft Office products at an advanced level and SQL
Experience in a program management or project management role
