Role Overview
The Communications Associate – Employee Engagement & DEI supports internal and external communication while driving employee engagement initiatives and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) activities. The role ensures consistent messaging aligned with organisational strategy, strengthens culture, and enhances employee experience across NNE India. This role reports to Manager – Strategy & Communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver internal communications including newsletters, leadership messages, intranet updates, and campaigns.
- Support external communication such as LinkedIn posts, employer branding content, and event storytelling.
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives (e.g., town halls, recognition programs, campaigns like INWED).
- Drive DEI initiatives in alignment with organisational strategy including awareness campaigns, events, and learning sessions.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to implement engagement and DEI action plans based on survey insights (e.g., Viva Glint).
- Manage editorial calendar across channels (email, Teams, SharePoint, social platforms).
- Coordinate cross-functional input and ensure consistent messaging across departments.
- Track engagement metrics (communications reach, campaign participation, feedback) and provide insights.
- Support creation of presentations and communication materials aligned to corporate visual identity.
- Manage vendors (design, content, event support) where applicable.
Employee Engagement & DEI Focus
- Design and execute engagement strategies aligned with business priorities.
- Collaborate with DEI committees and HR to promote inclusive culture initiatives.
- Facilitate employee feedback capture and translate insights into actionable initiatives.
- Support celebration of key diversity events and drive participation across teams.
- Ensure inclusive communication practices across all channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, HR, Psychology, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in communications, HR, employer branding, or engagement roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in event management, employee engagement, or culture-building initiatives.
- Working knowledge of digital tools (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, Canva/Adobe).
- Understanding of DEI principles and employee experience frameworks (preferred).
