US Tax Associate (2+ Years Experience)

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented US Tax Associate with 2+ years of experience in US taxation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120S and be proficient in UltraTax CS. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tax engagements while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review US Individual Tax Returns (Form 1040).
Prepare Partnership Tax Returns (Form 1065) along with Schedule K-1 reporting.
Prepare S Corporation Tax Returns (Form 1120S).
Organize and analyze client tax documents, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
Prepare tax workpapers and maintain complete tax documentation.
Identify missing information and communicate effectively with senior team members.
Perform tax research for routine federal and state tax matters.
Ensure compliance with IRS and state filing requirements.
Coordinate with managers to complete tax engagements within deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality of client financial information.
Assist with tax planning assignments and year-end tax projects.
Support amendments, extensions, and other tax compliance engagements as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in US Taxation.
Hands-on experience preparing:
Form 1040
Form 1065
Form 1120S
Working knowledge of UltraTax CS.
Strong understanding of US Federal and State tax compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with US CPA firms.
Knowledge of tax organizers, tax notices, and client correspondence.
Exposure to QuickBooks Online is an added advantage.
EA (Enrolled Agent) pursuing or completed will be preferred.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
