AI/ML Engineer (LLM & AI Platform) – Remote (India)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our team and build scalable AI-powered applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, training, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML models, especially around Large Language Models (LLMs), AI pipelines, and API-based AI services.

This is a full-time, fully remote position for candidates based in India.

Experience

Minimum 4 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering.
Proven experience delivering production-grade AI applications.
Strong portfolio or demonstrable projects involving LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or ML model deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, train, fine-tune, and optimize Machine Learning and AI models.
Develop and maintain LLM-based applications using models such as Llama, Mistral, GPT, Gemini, Claude, or similar.
Build scalable AI pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, embedding generation, inference, evaluation, and deployment.
Create secure AI Gateway/API layers to expose AI services through REST or GraphQL APIs.
Develop OpenAPI-compliant APIs and maintain API documentation.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases.
Build AI orchestration workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
Integrate AI services with backend systems and cloud infrastructure.
Design automated testing and evaluation frameworks for AI models, including prompt testing, regression testing, hallucination detection, latency measurement, and quality benchmarking.
Monitor model performance and optimize inference speed, cost, and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.

Required Technical Skills

Strong Python programming skills.
Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
Hands-on experience with Hugging Face Transformers and model fine-tuning.
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
Knowledge of prompt engineering and prompt optimization.
Experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, ChromaDB, or Qdrant.
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
Experience deploying AI models using Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI Specification, API Gateway, authentication, and rate limiting.
Experience building inference pipelines and model serving using FastAPI, Flask, Triton Inference Server, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows.
Knowledge of MLOps concepts, including model versioning, monitoring, experiment tracking, and deployment automation.
Familiarity with MLflow, Weights & Biases, Kubeflow, or similar MLOps platforms.
Experience with Git and collaborative software development.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI Agents and multi-agent architectures.
Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Experience integrating external tools and APIs with LLMs.
Familiarity with ONNX, TensorRT, or model optimization techniques.
Experience with distributed model training.
Knowledge of GPU optimization and inference acceleration.
Experience with observability tools such as LangSmith, Phoenix, or OpenTelemetry.
