Role Impact:
We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Project Management to manage a team of Quantitative Project Management Associates that lead and oversee a variety of market research projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven track record of successfully managing market research projects and programs with delivery on time, on scope.
- Proven track record of managing a team of Project Managers, with a focus on career development.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with strong follow through and accountability, and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders/clients, and internal team members at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to be assertive and resolve scope-related and interpersonal issues effectively.
- Strong team management skills; ability to manage resourcing + utilization, track compliance, and address performance concerns.
- You’ll work closely with clients, cross-functional internal teams, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
We’re Looking For:
- Supervise team of 4-6 direct reports, mentoring with a focus on career development – including quarterly employee enhancement team performance reviews
- Set team initiatives that align with MarketCast’s strategic goals and vision
- Own team training & process documentation
- Oversight of teams’ project execution work and ultimately accountable for timeliness and quality
- Drive compliance with standardization, while guiding the team in developing and delivering process improvement initiatives
- Apply program management expertise to guide the team in delivering portfolio initiatives, proactively managing dependencies, and prioritizing workload
- Own project escalation + issue resolution with internal stakeholders
- Step into project lead work as needed (serving as a point of contact for internal teams, owning the delivery of all day-to-day and ad hoc requests. Ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project, developing & own detailed project schedules and timelines).
- Work directly with other internal teams to address issues; identify communication gaps; make recommendations on revisions to current processes
- Represent Project Management in cross-functional team meetings
- Drive adherence to MarketCast Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in market research project management roles, with 3+ years of experience in Team management
- Moderate to advance process knowledge (deliverables) of Survey programming, Data processing, Reporting and Open-end coding teams
- Knowledge of market research tools (e.g., Decipher)
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, etc.) and MS Office and Google Suite.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Market Research, or a related quantitative field
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in a technical or quantitative discipline is highly preferred
