WINIC Constructions is looking for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to take overall responsibility for site execution of our 42 Villas Gated Community project.
The Senior Site Engineer will function as the site head and will be accountable for planning, quality, schedule, coordination and delivery performance across all 42 villas.
The role requires converting the master construction programme into villa-wise and zone-wise execution targets, coordinating multiple active work fronts, anticipating constraints and providing management with clear information regarding progress, risks and recovery plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement the master construction programme villa-wise and zone-wise.
- Monitor all 42 villas across different construction stages including:
- Excavation & footings
- RCC
- Masonry
- Plastering
- MEP works
- Waterproofing
- Flooring
- Painting
- Finishing & handover
- Coordinate and resolve clashes between architectural, structural and MEP drawings before execution.
- Ensure approved method statements and quality checklists are followed for all major construction activities.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, manpower and material deliveries.
- Review quantities, material wastage, rework and pending contractor bills for effective cost control.
- Ensure safe construction sequences, proper housekeeping and compliance with project requirements.
- Identify project problems early and report them along with the proposed solution, cost impact, time impact and recovery plan.
- Review and control the work of the Site Engineer, Junior Engineer and Site Supervisor.
- Ensure construction activities are executed according to approved drawings and specifications with zero tolerance for unauthorised deviations.
Daily Responsibilities
The Senior Site Engineer will be expected to:
- Conduct the daily site coordination meeting.
- Finalise daily targets for every active villa and assign clear responsibility.
- Conduct field inspections and verify actual progress.
- Review the Daily Progress Report (DPR) and provide management with a concise project summary.
- Identify critical material and manpower shortages 3–7 days in advance.
- Review Plan vs Actual achievement.
- Prepare and implement recovery actions wherever targets are falling behind.
Mandatory Education & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering may only be considered for candidates with strong directly relevant experience and proven project leadership.
- Safety, quality or project-planning certifications will be an added advantage.
Required Experience
- 8–12 years of building construction experience.
- At least 3 years in a senior site leadership position.
- Hands-on experience in multi-unit residential projects, villas, row houses or gated communities.
- Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous work fronts.
- Experience managing contractors, manpower, materials, quality and construction schedules.
- Candidates with direct villa/gated-community construction experience will be strongly preferred.
