Job Description – Senior Platform Engineer (AWS | Kubernetes | DevSecOps)

Position: Senior Platform Engineer (AWS | Kubernetes | DevSecOps)
Location: Indore / Remote / Hybrid
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience: Minimum 8+ Years
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized university.
Salary: Up to ₹30 LPA (Final compensation will depend on experience and interview performance.)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and enhance a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevSecOps, and cloud architecture. You will play a key role in building platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to develop, deploy, and manage applications efficiently while ensuring security, reliability, and cost optimization.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Engineering

Design, build, and manage Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) infrastructure.
Improve platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
Lead Kubernetes cluster upgrades and modernization initiatives.
Define platform architecture standards and engineering best practices.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
Standardize cloud environments across development, testing, and production.
Eliminate manual infrastructure processes through automation.

Cloud Architecture

Design and manage cloud infrastructure using:

AWS Networking
Amazon EKS
Aurora MySQL
Redis
Apache Kafka
AWS Lambda
CloudFront
Route 53
IAM
AWS Secrets Manager

DevSecOps

Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
Implement security guardrails and Policy-as-Code.
Manage secrets, encryption, and access control.
Improve software supply chain security.

Compliance & Security

Design technical controls supporting SOC 2 compliance.
Automate compliance evidence collection.
Improve logging, monitoring, and audit readiness.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams.

Platform Reliability

Define and monitor SLOs and SLIs.
Improve observability and system monitoring.
Reduce operational overhead through automation.
Drive platform reliability and resilience initiatives.

Cost Optimization

Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
Improve Kubernetes resource utilization.
Drive FinOps initiatives and cloud cost optimization strategies.
