Job Summary

The Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating placement activities, assisting students throughout the placement process, maintaining relationships with recruiters, and ensuring smooth execution of recruitment drives. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills to help students secure internships and full-time employment opportunities.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlacement Coordination

Coordinate campus recruitment drives, walk-in interviews, and virtual hiring events.
Schedule interviews between recruiters and students.
Communicate interview schedules, venue details, and joining instructions to students.
Ensure all placement activities are conducted smoothly and on time.

Student Support

Register students for placement opportunities.
Verify student eligibility based on company criteria.
Collect and maintain resumes, academic records, and required documents.
Guide students on interview preparation, resume building, and professional etiquette.
Track student attendance for interviews and placement activities.

Recruiter Coordination

Coordinate with recruiters regarding job openings and interview schedules.
Share eligible student profiles with hiring companies.
Collect interview feedback and hiring status from recruiters.
Build and maintain positive relationships with hiring partners.

Placement Database & MIS

Maintain accurate records of students, companies, interviews, offers, and joining status.
Update placement trackers and Management Information System (MIS).
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly placement reports.
Ensure placement data is accurate and up to date.

Placement Events

Assist in organizing career fairs, campus drives, employer presentations, webinars, and networking events.
Coordinate logistics, venue arrangements, and student participation.

Follow-Up Activities

Follow up with students regarding interview attendance, offer acceptance, and joining.
Follow up with recruiters to obtain interview results and feedback.
Resolve basic placement-related queries from students and employers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Number of interviews coordinated.
Student interview attendance rate.
Number of placement drives supported.
Number of students placed.
Accuracy and timeliness of placement records.
Recruiter response time.
Student satisfaction with placement support.
Employer satisfaction with coordination.

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
CRM or Placement Management Software (preferred).
Data entry and MIS reporting.

Soft Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong coordination and organizational skills.
Relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
Time management and multitasking.
Problem-solving and attention to detail.
Professional attitude and customer service orientation.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
MBA (HR/Marketing) is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Preferred Experience

0–2 years of experience in Placement Coordination, HR, Recruitment, Student Services, Customer Support, or Administration.
Freshers with strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills are welcome to apply.
