Join Cisco's Solutions Engineering team, where we partner with customers and business leaders to solve complex business challenges through innovative technology. As a trusted technical advisor, you'll work alongside Account Managers, Partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes, strengthen customer relationships, and accelerate Cisco's growth across our portfolio.

Your Impact

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the primary technical sales advisor for your customers, helping them translate business challenges into technology solutions. You'll lead technical engagements, influence customer strategy, and showcase the value of Cisco's end-to-end portfolio while collaborating with sales, engineering, and partner teams to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Managers to develop account strategies, identify growth opportunities, and contribute technical insights throughout the sales cycle.
Build trusted relationships with technical and business decision-makers, understanding customer environments, priorities, and business challenges.
Design and present solution architectures that address customer requirements by leveraging Cisco's broad portfolio and ecosystem.
Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations that help customers visualize business outcomes and accelerate adoption.
Lead the technical sales process by coordinating virtual teams, engaging internal specialists, and driving opportunities from discovery through closure.
Analyze competitive market trends and position Cisco's differentiated value to increase market share and win strategic opportunities.
Collaborate across Cisco Business Entities, Partner teams, and Sales organizations to align on customer strategy and share market insights.
Contribute to demand generation initiatives, technical enablement, and knowledge sharing across the Solutions Engineering organization.
Continuously develop expertise in Cisco technologies while adapting priorities in a dynamic, customer-focused sales environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience, or PhD with no required experience.
Experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or a customer-facing technical consulting role.
Experience designing, presenting, and positioning enterprise technology solutions for customers or partners.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional sales, engineering, and partner teams to drive customer success.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Cisco's portfolio and enterprise networking, security, cloud, collaboration, or data center technologies.
Excellent presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills with the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
Ability to build long-term customer relationships and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
Experience conducting solution demonstrations, technical workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand competitive landscapes and develop winning technical strategies.
