About Daloft Aerospace
Daloft Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. is a deep-tech aerospace startup incubated at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai, focused on developing UAV, avionics, embedded systems, and autonomous aerial technologies.
Our work includes flight controller systems, embedded electronics, avionics integration, UAV system development, flight testing, and autonomous technologies. We work across hardware, firmware, system integration, testing, and product development to build reliable and scalable aerospace solutions.
At Daloft Aerospace, interns get the opportunity to work alongside our technical team on real-world UAV engineering projects, gaining hands-on exposure to avionics hardware, embedded systems, flight controller systems, troubleshooting, system integration, and flight testing.
About the Internship
We are looking for passionate students and recent graduates who are interested in UAV systems, avionics, embedded systems, and aerospace engineering.
The selected intern will work on ongoing UAV and aerospace engineering projects and contribute to hardware integration, testing, troubleshooting, embedded systems, system validation, and flight-testing activities.
Location: IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai
Duration: 3–6 Months
Mode: Full-Time, On-site
Stipend: Performance-based
Key Responsibilities
- Support avionics hardware integration and testing.
- Work with sensors, flight controllers, telemetry, and communication systems.
- Assist with PCB assembly, wiring, hardware integration, and troubleshooting.
- Support embedded system development, testing, and validation.
- Assist with flight controller firmware testing and debugging.
- Perform flight data analysis and assist with flight log debugging.
- Support UAV system integration and flight-testing activities.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting hardware and system-level issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and engineering records.
- Work closely with the engineering team during prototype development and validation.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of UAV and drone systems.
- Knowledge of flight controller firmware.
- Understanding of embedded systems fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of sensors and communication interfaces.
- Hardware debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze flight data and flight logs.
- Basic understanding of electronics, wiring, and PCB systems.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on with UAV hardware and engineering systems.
Preferred Skills
- Companion computer integration.
- Previous experience with UAV, drone, robotics, embedded systems, or avionics projects.
- Experience with microcontrollers or embedded development.
- Experience with sensor integration and communication protocols.
- Experience with hardware testing and system integration.

Who Can Apply
Students and recent graduates from relevant engineering backgrounds, including Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, and related disciplines.
Candidates with academic, personal, or professional project experience in UAVs, drones, embedded systems, electronics, robotics, avionics, or flight controller systems are encouraged to apply.

This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site engineering internship. Candidates should be willing to work directly with hardware and participate in system integration, testing, and flight-testing activities.
Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
