Brickwork Ratings (BWR) is one of India’s leading credit rating agencies, committed to providing the investment community with products and services needed to make informed investment decisions. Established in 2007, Brickwork Ratings, a SEBI-registered and RBI-accredited credit rating agency, has Canara Bank, a leading public sector bank as its promoter and strategic partner.

BWR is headquartered in Bengaluru and has a pan-India presence. The rating team is headed by the analytical prowess of the industry’s most experienced credit analysts and bankers.

BWR offers rating services to Bank Loans, NCD, Commercial papers, Bonds, Mutual Funds, PPMLDs, and Security Receipts. BWR’s ratings have rated over 100,000 large Corporates, Banks, Financial Institutions, State and local Governments, and small businesses. BWR provides investors and lenders, with timely and in-depth research across structured finance, public finance, financial institutions, project finance, and corporate sectors.

Primary Responsibility:

The Senior Rating Analyst would conduct end to end rating involving the following primary responsibilities:

Credit analysis of financial instruments in the BFSI sector for banks, NBFCs, and Securitized Transactions
Financial analysis and ability to make financial projections of the financial instruments.
Analytical rigor in the presentations to the rating committees
Maintain excellent quality in the analysis and be up to date on the market/industry information and suitable and need-based rating actions.
Interact with company management, auditors, bankers, and other lenders and visit companies and factories as part of the regular monitoring and data gathering.
To take ownership of the folio by carrying out regular surveillance, monitoring, reviews on a quarterly basis/ material event basis, tracking the performance of the companies with respect to macroeconomic changes, handling internal and external audit queries.
Strictly adhere to standard operating procedure, regulations & policies. .
Adept in meeting tight deadlines with no compromise on analytical quality
Mentor and guide junior rating analysts
Client interaction and managing good relations.

Competency / Skills:

Analytical expertise in the Banks / NBFCs / Securitized Transactions segment including financial modeling, ratio analysis, and industry knowledge.
Updated with the latest regulatory guidelines and circulars, especially in Structured Finance Products.
Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency: Strong domain knowledge in credit assessment in the BFSI sector - Banks, NBFCs, and Securitization
Strong analytical, quantitative and presentation skills to present the facts along with rating recommendations to the rating committees.

Primary Requisite of Skillset and Experience:

Candidates having expertise and required experience in Credit Rating of Banks /NBFCs /
Microfinance Institutions / Structured Finance products.

Educational Qualification:

Postgraduate in Finance / Commerce or CA.; Any additional certifications in finance will be an added advantage.
