SAP Business One – Implementation & Backend Support Executive

1. Job Objective
We are looking for an experienced SAP Business One Implementation & Backend Support professional who can independently support our SAP B1 system and coordinate with implementation partners for ongoing implementation, customization and process improvements.
The candidate must have hands-on experience in SAP Business One implementation, along with strong knowledge of SQL, database management, SAP B1 backend and ERP business processes.
2. Key Responsibilities
SAP B1 Implementation – Mandatory
Have practical experience in end-to-end SAP Business One implementation.
Understand and document business requirements from different departments.
Participate in Business Process Study / Gap Analysis.
Map existing business processes into SAP B1.
Assist in configuration and implementation of SAP B1 modules.
Prepare and coordinate master data migration.
Validate migrated data and ensure accuracy.
Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Prepare test scenarios and test cases.
Coordinate with key users and SAP consultants during implementation.
Identify implementation gaps and recommend suitable solutions.
Coordinate Go-Live activities and cutover.
Provide post-Go-Live support and resolve implementation-related issues.
Support implementation of new modules, branches, processes and functionalities.
3. SAP B1 Backend & Database Responsibilities
Strong knowledge of SAP Business One database structure.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server / SAP HANA.
Develop SQL queries for data extraction, validation and MIS.
Create and maintain queries, views and stored procedures where required.
Troubleshoot database and transaction-related issues.
Validate data integrity and identify transaction mismatches.
Support database backup and recovery activities.
Analyse SAP B1 tables and relationships for reporting and troubleshooting.
4. SAP B1 Functional Knowledge
Candidate should have good practical understanding of:
Sales
Purchase
Inventory & Warehouse
Production
Bill of Materials (BOM)
MRP
Material Planning
Goods Receipt / Goods Issue
Stock Transfer
Sales & Purchase Returns
Business Partners
Item Master
Price Lists
Batch / Serial Numbers
Accounts Receivable / Payable
Basic Finance integration
Manufacturing processes
Manufacturing industry experience will be highly preferred.
5. MIS & Reporting
Develop management reports using SAP B1 data.
Create customized queries using SAP B1 Query Manager.
Support MIS requirements for:
Sales
Production
Purchase
Inventory
Stores
Receivables
Payables
Profitability
Support Crystal Reports development and modifications.
Ensure accuracy and consistency of management reports.
6. Integration & Customization
Knowledge of SAP B1 Service Layer / DI API is preferred.
Coordinate with external developers for SAP B1 customizations.
Support add-ons and third-party integrations.
Understand integration requirements and assist in testing.
Coordinate customization testing before deployment into the live system.
7. User Support & Training
Provide first-level technical and functional support to SAP B1 users.
Understand user problems and identify the root cause.
Coordinate with consultants for unresolved issues.
Train users on SAP B1 processes.
Prepare SOPs and user documentation.
Monitor recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.
8. Implementation Documentation
The candidate should be capable of preparing / maintaining:
Business Requirement Documents
Process Flow Documents
Functional Requirement Documents
Master Data Templates
Data Migration Templates
UAT Test Cases
User Manuals / SOPs
Go-Live Checklists
Issue / Bug Tracking Reports
Post-Go-Live Support Reports
9. Required Skills
Mandatory:
Minimum 3 years of SAP Business One experience.
Hands-on experience in at least one complete SAP B1 implementation project.
Strong SQL knowledge.
Knowledge of SAP B1 database tables and structure.
Experience in SAP B1 implementation, testing and Go-Live.
Good understanding of manufacturing / trading ERP processes.
Good knowledge of SAP B1 reporting and Query Manager.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred:
SAP Business One certification.
SQL Server / SAP HANA experience.
Crystal Reports.
SAP B1 Service Layer / DI API.
Power BI knowledge.
Experience in manufacturing companies.
Experience in multi-branch SAP B1 implementation.
10. Candidate Profile
We are looking for a person who is not merely an SAP B1 user or support executive.
The candidate should be able to:
Understand Business Process → Map Process in SAP B1 → Coordinate Configuration → Migrate Data → Test → Train Users → Go Live → Provide Post-Go-Live Support → Improve the System.
The candidate should have the ability to work closely with Management, Accounts, Sales, Purchase, Stores, Production, Dispatch and external SAP consultants.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
