Lighthouse Kiran focuses on helping adolescents develop the skills, confidence, and agency needed to make informed decisions about their education, personal development, and future livelihoods.
The program focuses strongly on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and aims to create learning environments where adolescents feel secure, supported, and empowered to take ownership of their learning.
Through SEL, teacher capacity building, improved learning environments, and stronger educational engagement, Lighthouse Kiran seeks to:

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and purpose-driven Manager – Quality Education to lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Lighthouse Kiran program.
The role will involve managing program implementation across Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Hyderabad, Odisha, and Thane, as well as supporting expansion into tribal locations and other geographies.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in education program management, Social Emotional Learning, teacher development, stakeholder engagement, impact measurement, and team leadership.
The role requires the ability to work closely with schools, government departments, teachers, community stakeholders, donors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality implementation and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Implementation & Monitoring
- Lead the implementation of Lighthouse Kiran across programme locations and partner institutions.
- Coordinate with field teams, schools, colleges, and institutional partners to ensure effective program delivery.
- Monitor learner participation, program quality, implementation progress, and intended outcomes.
- Strengthen engagement with adolescents, teachers, school leaders, and institutional stakeholders.
- Identify implementation challenges and develop timely solutions.
- Support the design and piloting of innovative interventions to strengthen program outcomes.
2. Impact Assessment, Monitoring & Learning
- Design and implement impact assessment and learning frameworks for Lighthouse Kiran.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative program data.
- Track key program indicators and identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations for continuous program improvement.
- Prepare impact reports and present findings to internal teams, donors, government stakeholders, and partners.
3. Teacher Capacity Building
Design, coordinate, and facilitate capacity-building initiatives for:
- Primary and secondary school teachers.
- Headmasters/Headmistresses.
- School leaders and other education stakeholders.
Key areas may include:
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
- Assessment for Learning.
- Positive School Climate.
- Adolescent development and well-being.
- Learner-centred teaching practices.
4. Government & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with:
- Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
- Education Department officials.
- Ward-level officers and supervisors.
- School leaders and teachers.
- Institutional and implementation partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating operational planning and implementation.
- Supporting scheduling, onboarding, and program rollout.
- Ensuring stakeholder alignment with program objectives.
- Representing LCF in meetings, reviews, workshops, and partner engagements.
- Building long-term partnerships that support program sustainability and scale.
5. Donor Management & Reporting
- Prepare high-quality quarterly and annual reports for donors and government stakeholders.
- Ensure timely reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
- Monitor financial utilization and ensure adherence to applicable guidelines.
- Maintain accurate program documentation, records, and implementation evidence.
- Develop communication and impact content, including:
- Success stories.
- Case studies.
- Testimonials.
- Photographs and field documentation.
- Quantitative and qualitative impact data.
- Support donor visits, presentations, reviews, and partner engagements.
6. Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and support the program team to achieve program objectives.
- Set individual and team goals aligned with organizational and program outcomes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify professional development needs and facilitate coaching and learning opportunities.
- Build team capacity through on-the-job learning, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Allocate responsibilities and resources effectively across project locations.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
- Monitor team productivity and address operational challenges.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and processes.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality talent.
- Facilitate regular team meetings, implementation reviews, and cross-functional coordination.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in education, social sector program management, school transformation, or related fields.
- Experience in Social Emotional Learning (SEL), teacher professional development, education system strengthening, or adolescent development is preferred.
- Experience working with government education departments is highly desirable.
- Experience managing donor-funded programs and reporting will be an advantage.
