About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Shopify Developer with hands-on experience in building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Shopify theme development, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs. This role focuses on standard Shopify stores only (non-Shopify Plus).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify storefronts.
- Build responsive, high-performance Shopify themes .
- Customize existing Shopify themes based on business requirements.
- Develop custom sections, templates, snippets, and reusable components.
- Work with Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JSON templates.
- Integrate third-party Shopify apps and APIs.
- Configure Shopify settings, navigation, collections, products, metafields, and custom functionalities.
- Optimize website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall storefront performance.
- Implement SEO best practices including structured data, meta tags, and image optimization.
- Troubleshoot frontend and backend Shopify issues.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-quality ecommerce websites.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Perform website testing, bug fixing, and deployment.
Required Skills
- Experience in Shopify development.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with Shopify Theme Architecture (Online Store 2.0).
- Experience building custom Shopify sections and blocks.
- Knowledge of Shopify Metafields and Metaobjects.
- Experience integrating Shopify Apps and third-party APIs.
- Understanding of Shopify AJAX API and Storefront API.
- Strong understanding of responsive web development.
- Experience with page speed optimization.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot Shopify issues efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
