About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1.5+ years of hands-on manual testing experience to join our growing QA team. The ideal candidate will have experience testing web applications, mobile apps, backend/API services, and Drupal-based websites.
You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, validating fixes, supporting release readiness, and collaborating closely with developers, designers, and product stakeholders. Exposure to test automation using Playwright will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design comprehensive test scenarios.
- Create and execute positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case test cases.
- Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Test web applications across different browsers, screen sizes, and responsive layouts.
- Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices, covering functional flows, UI consistency, and device/OS variations.
- Test Drupal-based websites, including content types, content workflows, user permissions/roles, and theme-level behavior.
- Perform API/backend testing to validate request/response behavior, status codes, data integrity, validations, and error handling.
- Log, track, and prioritize defects with clear reproduction steps, severity/priority, expected vs. actual results, and supporting screenshots or recordings.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product/project stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate fixes.
- Maintain and update test cases, test plans, QA documentation, and defect trackers.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Support release readiness through smoke, regression, and pre-release testing.
- Contribute to maintaining or developing automated tests using Playwright, where applicable.
Must-Have Skills
- 1.5+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing/QA.
- Experience testing web applications, mobile applications, and backend/API services.
- Familiarity with Drupal testing, including content types, permissions/roles, and workflows.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Bug Life Cycle.
- Ability to write clear, structured, and maintainable test cases.
- Strong understanding of functional testing, validations, user flows, and edge-case testing.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
- Basic understanding of API testing concepts, including:
- HTTP methods
- Status codes
- Request/response validation
- Data validation
- Error handling
- Experience with cross-browser and basic responsive/UI testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
Good to Have
- Basic to intermediate experience with Playwright using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Familiarity with Page Object Model (POM) or similar automation design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Postman or other API testing tools.
- Experience using AI tools in software testing, such as AI-assisted test-case generation, visual testing, self-healing automation, or AI-based defect analysis/triage.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience testing JavaScript-based applications built with React/Next.js.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database and data validation.
- Familiarity with Git and basic version-control workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1.5+ years of relevant QA/testing experience.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
