Full job description

Minimum Qualification : Graduate in Civil Engineering
Total Professional Experience : Minimum 15 years
Experience in Highway projects : Minimum 10 years
Experience in Similar Capacity : As Highway Engineer in at least 2 Highway Projects. Pavement design of major highway projects (2/4/6 lane NH/SH/Expressways) of minimum aggregate length of 80 km.
Responsibilities : He will be assisting the Team Leader and Resident Engineer and in conjunction with the Project Manager will plan the Schedule of work, assigns project personnel and equipment needed to perform work constructed by the employer's Personnel. He will supervise work in the field and interpret plans and specifications on job site to ensure that the standards are met. He will schedule the work with the construction teams and will supervise and perform testing and inspection procedures. He will direct the work of the survey crew and may participate as a surveyor when needed at construction site. He will provide advice and estimates for small change / variation of scope of work in the project. He will verify the contract quantities and payments. He will also make inspections of highway bridges for structural condition in accordance with the MoRTH guidelines.
