Job Descritpion of Performance SDET (SDET, JMeter) Developer

6-8 Years of Relevant Experience

Looking for a skilled and results-driven Performance SDET with 6–8 years of experience in performance testing, cloud-based systems, and observability tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in JMeter, AWS services, and Datadog, and will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance under load by building robust performance test strategies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute performance, load, and stress tests using Apache JMeter and other performance tools.
Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks, memory leaks, and performance issues in backend systems and APIs.
Monitor application performance and infrastructure metrics using Datadog, and provide detailed reports and dashboards.
Collaborate with developers, SDETs, DevOps, and architects to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
Simulate realistic load scenarios in AWS environments, leveraging services like EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
Automate performance test execution as part of CI/CD pipelines.
Establish baseline performance metrics, set thresholds, and create alerts for anomalies.
Document performance test strategies, scripts, and findings in clear and concise reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

6–8 years of experience in performance engineering or performance testing roles.
Hands-on experience with Apache JMeter for performance and load testing.
Solid experience working with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
Strong proficiency with Datadog for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, latency, throughput, and system tuning.
Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic scripting (e.g., Shell, Python).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
