Position: Sales Intern

Location: Coimbatore

SKYX AEROSPACE is a leading AI Enabled Drone Tech Startup that manufactures and devolops innovative drone technology solutions designed for various applications including agriculture, logistics, surveillance, and industrial solutions. We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and delivering cutting-edge products and technology-driven solutions to our clients.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for three energetic and motivated Sales Interns to support our growing Sales and Business Development team.

The selected interns will work under the guidance of the Sales Manager and assist with lead generation, customer calls, lead qualification, meeting coordination, sales follow-ups, market research and government tender activities.

Based on their skills, interests and performance during the screening process, the selected candidates will be assigned to one of the following focus areas:

Agricultural Drone Sales
Enterprise Drone Solutions and Projects
Government Tenders and Bid Support

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate prospective customer and project leads through online research, databases, professional networks, referrals and other approved sources.
Contact inbound and outbound leads through telephone calls, email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and other authorised channels.
Understand customer requirements and validate leads based on application, location, budget, timeline and business potential.
Schedule customer meetings, product discussions, demonstrations and follow-up calls for the Sales Manager.
Follow up with customers after meetings, demonstrations, quotations and proposal submissions.
Maintain accurate lead details, communication records, follow-up dates and opportunity status in the company’s sales tracker or CRM.
Research opportunities across agriculture, mining, roadways, infrastructure, industrial inspection and other emerging drone applications.
Assist in preparing presentations, quotations, proposals, company profiles and sales materials.
Monitor relevant government procurement portals and identify suitable tenders and project opportunities.
Support tender documentation, eligibility verification, compliance checklists and submission tracking.
Coordinate with technical, operations, GIS, accounts and other internal teams to collect information required for customers, proposals and tenders.
Support the company during exhibitions, product demonstrations, customer visits and promotional events.
Prepare regular reports on calls, qualified leads, meetings, follow-ups, project opportunities and tender status.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Should have passed and hold a degree in Diploma at least.
Strong communication, interpersonal and research skills.
Confidence in speaking with prospective customers over telephone calls and during meetings.
Good written English and professional email communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Ability to maintain organised records and complete follow-ups consistently.
Willingness to learn about drone technology, its applications and government procurement processes.
Comfortable working with targets and measurable activity goals.
Strong attention to detail, especially for documentation and tender-related work.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings, demonstrations, exhibitions or project visits when required.
Previous exposure to sales, business development, telecalling, market research or government tenders will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
