Company Introduction

Devmani Traders Pvt. Ltd. is a Mumbai-based financial services firm established in 2008. We are an AMFI-Registered Mutual Fund Distributor and an Authorised Person of Kotak Securities Ltd.

Our business spans mutual fund distribution including the newly introduced Specialized Investment Funds (SIF) category, equity broking, insurance, fixed income products and loans. We serve individual investors, HNI families, corporates, charitable trusts and co-operative societies.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, self-driven Business Development Executive whose primary mandate is lead generation and AUM growth. This is a front-line, field-intensive role: the person will go out into the market, target corporates, charitable trusts, co-operative housing societies, professional associations and referral networks to open doors, set up meetings and convert prospects into long-term investors across mutual funds, SIF and insurance.

This is not a back-office or support role. Success is measured by the quality of meetings generated, new clients onboarded, and net AUM and SIP book added.

Key Responsibilities

Lead generation: Build a consistent pipeline through open market activity, cold calling, referrals, existing networks and corporate tie-ups.
Corporate outreach: Approach corporates and HR departments to set up employee investment awareness sessions, financial wellness programmes and SIP enrolment drives.
Institutional outreach: Engage charitable trusts, temple trusts, educational institutions, co-operative housing societies and associations for corpus deployment through mutual funds and fixed income products.
Meeting setting: Fix qualified appointments for the senior team and represent Devmani in first-level client meetings.
AUM growth: Achieve targets on net AUM addition, SIP book build-up and new client acquisition across equity, debt, hybrid, SIF and insurance.
Cross-sell: Introduce clients to the full Devmani product suite - mutual funds, SIF, life and general insurance, fixed income, and equity broking through our Kotak Securities Authorised Person relationship.
Relationship management: Maintain regular contact with clients and channel partners; coordinate periodic portfolio reviews with the research and operations team.
AMC coordination: Work closely with AMC relationship managers for product updates, joint calls, investor meets and event support.
MIS and reporting: Maintain an accurate lead pipeline, activity tracker and sales MIS; submit weekly and monthly reports to management.

Requirements

Graduate in any discipline; MBA (Finance / Marketing) preferred
1–3 years of sales experience in any field - retail, real estate, telecom, FMCG, automobile, insurance, EdTech, or any other sector; what matters is a proven ability to sell and close.
Comfortable generating leads and meeting targets - you've carried a sales number before and know how to build a pipeline from scratch.
Sound working knowledge of mutual fund categories, SIP/STP/SWP mechanics, taxation basics and current market trends would be an add-on.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Willingness to travel extensively across Mumbai for client meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

Existing network of corporate HR contacts, trustees, society committee members or HNI clients.
Prior experience with an MFD, National Distributor, AMC sales team, bank wealth desk or broking house will be helpful.
Exposure to SIF, PMS, AIF or structured products and the ability to explain them to sophisticated investors.
