Senior Zoho Consultant – Solutions & Delivery
Location: Coimbatore | Hybrid CTC: ₹8–10 LPA Experience: 3–6 years, depending on depth of experience Role type: Full-time
About EdZola
EdZola Technologies is a technology company working primarily with nonprofits, social enterprises and mission-driven organisations.
We help organisations use technology better across areas such as programme management, MIS and M&E, CRM, operations, automation, data and increasingly AI.
Our work sits at the intersection of technology, consulting and social impact. This means understanding how an organisation actually works is just as important as knowing how to build the technology.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Zoho Consultant – Solutions & Delivery who can move comfortably between a customer conversation and a technical implementation.
You might have started your career as a Zoho Developer or Engineer and gradually found yourself doing more: understanding requirements, designing solutions, speaking with customers, managing implementations and helping other developers make better technical decisions.
That is the person we are looking for.
This is not purely a development role.
You will work directly with customers to understand their programmes and operational problems, translate them into technology solutions, architect solutions across the Zoho ecosystem, and take ownership of projects through successful delivery.
We expect you to maintain a strong customer pulse: understanding not only what has been requested, but whether the solution is actually working for the people using it.
What you will do1. Understand problems before building solutions
You will work directly with customers, particularly nonprofits and social-impact organisations, to understand their programmes, workflows and challenges.
You will:
- Conduct requirement and discovery conversations with customers
- Understand the underlying problem rather than simply documenting requested features
- Map programme and business processes into technology workflows
- Ask the right questions when requirements are incomplete or ambiguous
- Convert discussions into clear requirements, workflows and solution designs
- Recommend simpler or better approaches when appropriate
2. Architect and build Zoho solutions
You will design solutions across the Zoho ecosystem based on the customer's actual requirements.
Depending on the project, this may involve:
- Zoho Creator
- Zoho CRM
- Zoho Analytics
- Zoho Books
- Zoho Desk
- Zoho People
- Zoho Projects
- Zoho Flow
- Other Zoho applications and third-party systems
You should be comfortable with:
- Deluge
- APIs and integrations
- Data modelling
- Workflow automation
- Roles and permissions
- Reports and dashboards
- System architecture and solution design
You should be technically strong enough to build important components yourself while also being able to guide other engineers.
3. Own delivery, not just development
We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for an outcome rather than only completing assigned tickets.
You will:
- Own projects or significant workstreams from discovery through go-live
- Break solutions into clear deliverables for developers and QA
- Estimate effort and help plan implementations
- Review progress, quality and risks
- Coordinate UAT and customer feedback
- Ensure issues move towards closure rather than remaining indefinitely open
- Identify dependencies and escalations early
- Maintain clear documentation and communication
4. Be a trusted customer-facing consultant
A significant part of this role involves working directly with customers.
You should be comfortable speaking with programme managers, operations teams, M&E teams, technology teams and organisational leadership.
We expect you to develop a strong understanding of the customer's context and proactively identify when something is not working.
Good consulting, for us, means being able to say:
"I understand what you're asking us to build, but I think there may be a better way to solve the underlying problem."
What we are looking forMust have
- Strong hands-on experience with the Zoho ecosystem, particularly Zoho Creator and/or Zoho CRM
- Strong understanding of Deluge, workflows, APIs and integrations
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant technology experience
- Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions
- Experience interacting directly with customers or business stakeholders
- Ability to independently structure ambiguous requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Experience owning delivery rather than only executing development tasks
- Experience or meaningful exposure to education, skilling, livelihoods, healthcare, development sector or other social-impact domains
- Genuine interest in using technology to strengthen nonprofits and mission-driven organisations
- Willingness to work from or relocate to Coimbatore, with a hybrid working structure possible
Good to have
- Experience working with a Zoho Partner or Zoho consulting organisation
- Experience progressing from Zoho Developer/Engineer towards Consultant, Technical Lead or Solution Architect responsibilities
- Experience designing solutions spanning multiple Zoho applications
- Experience leading or mentoring developers
- Zoho certifications
- Experience conducting discovery workshops or solution demonstrations
- Experience with programme MIS, M&E systems, case management or field-data systems
- Pre-sales, estimation or proposal experience
Working in an AI-native environment
We believe AI is changing how software is designed, developed and delivered.
We increasingly experiment with AI across requirement analysis, solution design, coding, testing, documentation and internal productivity.
You do not need to be an AI engineer.
However, we would love to meet people who are already experimenting with tools such as Claude or other AI coding and productivity tools, and are excited about figuring out how AI can make them dramatically better at their work.
More important than knowing a particular AI tool is the curiosity to keep learning as the technology changes.
The mindset we value
Technical capability is important, but how you approach problems matters just as much.
High agency and ownership You don't wait for every problem to be converted into a task. When something isn't working, your instinct is to understand why and figure out what can be done.
Curiosity You enjoy learning. A new Zoho capability, an unfamiliar nonprofit programme, a new AI tool or an integration you haven't encountered before is something you want to explore.
Empathy You listen carefully to customers and end users. You try to understand the reality behind a requirement rather than treating it simply as another feature request.
Growth mindset You actively seek feedback, learn from mistakes and continuously expand what you are capable of doing.
Pursuit of excellence You don't consider something complete simply because it works. You question assumptions, critique your own work and care about whether the solution is genuinely well designed.
Bias for action You can operate when everything isn't perfectly defined. You gather the information you need, make sensible decisions and move things forward.
Low ego and collaboration You are willing to ask for help, challenge ideas respectfully, change your mind when someone has a better solution and step beyond your formal responsibilities when needed.
Commitment to impact You care about what happens after the software is deployed. You want technology to make organisations and the people they serve more effective.
Who will thrive in this role?
You will probably enjoy this role if you have reached a point in your engineering career where you are asking more questions about why something should be built, rather than only how to build it.
You enjoy the technical side of your work, but you also enjoy sitting with a customer, understanding a messy real-world problem and turning it into something structured.
You want to become the person who can move between:
Problem → Process → Solution → Architecture → Delivery → Customer outcome.
And you are looking for an environment where the boundaries of your role can expand as your capabilities grow.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
