Job Title: Lead AI Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Mode: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead AI Engineer to lead the development and implementation of advanced Artificial Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI system architecture.

As a Lead AI Engineer, you will take ownership of AI initiatives, lead technical decision-making, mentor engineering teams, and build scalable, production-ready AI applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI solutions.
Architect and develop production-ready applications using Generative AI and LLMs.
Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
Build AI agents, intelligent automation workflows, and conversational AI solutions.
Work with LLM frameworks and APIs such as OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Hugging Face.
Develop and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning models.
Work with NLP, embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases.
Lead technical discussions and make architectural decisions for AI projects.
Mentor and guide AI/ML engineers and development teams.
Collaborate remotely with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Implement MLOps practices for model deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
Ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing.
Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or related domains.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Experience working with OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.
Strong experience in building RAG-based applications and AI agents.
Knowledge of NLP, embeddings, prompt engineering, and semantic search.
Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or similar.
Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
Strong understanding of API development and microservices architecture.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and MLOps practices.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage and collaborate with remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading AI/ML engineering teams.
Experience building enterprise-scale AI applications.
Knowledge of multi-agent AI systems.
Experience with AI model evaluation and optimization.
Understanding of Responsible AI and AI security.
Contributions to AI/ML open-source projects or research communities.
